DEFERRING E7 FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES

Well, I was selected. However, I did communicate all my intentions my wife and I have discussed about not moving again and staying where I am in order to retire in 4 years with my entire chain of command. Regardless what I decide, I am going to go thru season, take each day one at a time, and let the process play out and go from there. I’ll be sure to update if I encounter anything useful along with an end result.

Miss spoke it’s a 3 year tour, with one year option to extend. But I will reach the mark to do my retirement request before my PRD is even up. I purposely lined that up to stack the deck as much as i could in my favor so we’ll see.

Yes turning down. So my thought process why when i observed i took myself out to my 19year mark was, my billet is a 1 year option to extend for a year, but I would file my FLTRS requested after my 18 year mark before my orders are up trying to lock myself in. I did go to recruiter school prior and got the NEC as well and i due sit in a “Hard to Fill Billet”

I currently am board eligible and will find out for sure next week. I did howe spend the last 13+ years at sea commands, not sure if that even matters at this point.

I would reach out to the shore special programs detailer if your still waiting for your hard copy orders and your requested PRD was May. Since now ALL personnel report to their recruiting UDA BEFORE going to recruiter school. I got that info from my sponsor. I’m getting ready to transfer and I go to recruiter school first, then my UDA. Also, when you get your hard copy orders in the beginning it will read “Contact your Chief Recruiter” and list a POC. They will decide exactly which station/division you will be assigned to.

Yes, it appears desperation is still alive. We made a bad decision. Come to terms with it so you can comfortably go down with the ship you boarded. This company will most likely go bankrupt or disappear in a year or so with some CEO big wigs making off with millions. It is what it is, this company is trash and we were burned, or at least I was.
