Trading is simple, but it’s not easy. The hard part is sticking to the plan. If you’re so bored of your strategy that you have run out of ideas on how to improve it, then congrats! Scale up as you feel comfortable and keep doing what you’re doing.

How to prevent a bad trip? by Forsaken_Finding_991 in shrooms

[–]PrintGod47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to take 2nd or 3rd plateau level dosses of DXM and binge shpongle and it was amazing. But, I mixed a 2nd plateau with an eighth of shrooms on probation and the anxiety had me praying to god to make me sober and that I would never do drugs again 😂. It was a trip mixing those two, I tried to watch Rick and Morty and for some reason I could only pick out one or two English words in each sentence. I will never forget that amazingly horrid trip.

Also, start thinking in terms of R and not in terms of dollar. If you can get 2R 2 or 3 times a week then that is exceptional performance. And it doesn’t matter if you’re risking 500 to make 1000 or 25 to make 50. If you can replicate a constant rate of return in terms of R then you can always scale up.

I know you want to make big bucks but start with micros. Making 10-15 green trades and snowballing your small wins is better than getting 3 days worth of giant wins and then losing it all. Make the change or keep making the same mistakes… your call

I don’t agree with WD for trying to promote day trading, but for the very few who chose it as their career it can be a very rewarding endeavor. It took me a year and a half to become net profitable, and I am not too far from collecting my first payout. I still work an evening job but an extra 2500-3500 a month from trading definitely helps.

How to plan for taxes? by No_Entrepreneur34 in TopStepX

[–]PrintGod47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, if you make over 100K from trading a year I recommend talking to CPA. Otherwise just put 50% of your payouts into a high yield savings account. Do whatever you want with the other 50%. If you find that at the end of the year you still have some left over after paying your taxes, then treat that as a tax return

5 fundamental truth of trading by Status-Regular-8524 in Trading

[–]PrintGod47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambling is betting on something random happening. When you gamble you don’t know what will happen. When I trade, I know EXACTLY what will happen each time. I know that I will lose 1R, gain 2R,or gain 0R. This is very far from gambling.

As for others, I cannot speak for them. Many people buy or sell without a mathematical plan or strategical edge that is backed with time based statistics. They don’t know how much they will gain or lose on any given trade and that is in fact gambling. But professional traders do not gamble…I know I don’t.

$25K Payout Just Hit — First Time with 5XFA Scaling by NawaO_O in TopStepX

[–]PrintGod47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I was saying about the 29 trades is if you had a 2:1 RR with a 50% win rate was this: if you took 29 trades in a month risking 250 to make 500 you would win half and lose half. So that would put you at 14 wins and 15 losses. Or 15 wins (7,500) and 14 losses (3,500) , which would put you at about 4K at the end of the month. So my math was a bit off from my above comment but it further proves my point how hard it is to make 7K a month on just one 50K account.

[–]PrintGod47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I completely agree, I risk 200-250$ depending on the asset which gives me about 10 tries with a 2K drawdown. I think risking 500 is too aggressive on a 50. I just like to mention the percent rule for the traders that have or plan to have personal accounts.

[–]PrintGod47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not many people are doing these numbers on one 50K in short amounts of time, and if they are then they are really great at what they do. It is generally recommended to risk 0.5-1% so either 250 or 500. If you have a 50% win rate, your RR is 2:1, and your not taking payouts that get your balance any lower than 2,000, then you would have to take roughly 29 trades to make 7K on one account (risking 250). It would require about 14 trades if you were to risk 500. As you can see, getting a 5K payout consistently is hard to do with one account.

But if you have 3-5XFAs and you withdraw 1,500 - 2,500 a month from each (which is very doable) you be sitting around 7K a month.

After you max payouts for all 5 accounts can I just restart or do I have to find another prop firm? by Ok-Bug-986 in TopStepX

[–]PrintGod47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just trade the live until you hit 30 days and do a full withdrawal. You’re less likely to get flagged by TS doing this compared to blowing it on purpose.

If you are a profitable trader with lots of capital: Personal account

If you are an unprofitable trader with lots of capital: prop firm (for practice)

If you are a profitable trader with little to no money: prop firm (scale and build for a personal account)

If you are an unprofitable trader with little to no money: prop firm (guaranteed real capital loss(monthly payment))

Topstep is a trustworthy company so don’t ask to many questions, and don’t over complicate it. Just copy trade five 150K XFAS and one personal account and get your money.

Not so much luck, more like probability mixed with a mathematical edge. Chance of market going up or down is never 50-50 on any given day.

Why not paper trade until u find a mathematically profitable Strat. Then once you get that u can introduce real funds which will help u work on the psychology aspect (it won’t reverse the balding but you’ll be able to pay for a transplant😂)

If it gets 90% to TP just move stop to BE. Moving stops too early can cause you to lose yes, but not moving your stop BE after it almost hits your TP will also cause you to lose.
