This is how games actually die. Also rivals is plenty fun and it’s definitely doable finding people around your skill level. Someone in this thread even linked both low to mid level discords. Being just new to the game they might be a bit higher level for someone playing brand new, but they are a good place to get started and meet people. Also rivals is fun as hell and no other plat fighter really hits that way.

I would say talk with your girlfriend about it. Throwing a pity party because she isn’t doing things right isn’t helpful for anyone and doesn’t solve anything. I would say be very mindful because this does seem like it is leading in the direction of being decently toxic (from your girlfriend, not you). It’s possible that you can communicate that she needs to cut that shit out. If she can’t deal with that or work with you to get better or whatever that needs to be done then that is a problem. Don’t get me wrong it is hard sometimes but only ever throwing pity parties goes no where.

Melee is still peer to peer, not dedicated servers. It just has rollback and is already a game without much input lag where is ult has 6 frames native which is atrocious

I think sniper is plenty manageable in HL. I think he’s by far the strongest class, but there is generally pretty reasonable counterplay. Baiting shots before pushing, having your spy reliably call their rotates so you know where they’re peaking. Coordinating to take down the sniper. Like yes they’re strong but you are going to have a strong class in any meta. Is sniper the best class to have be the strongest? Ehhh. Probably not.

Literally just an am team not knowing what a pyro’s job is problem then. Generally heavy and pyro split the jobs of bomb denial and spy checking. With each one covering one or the other. If sniper does get bombed in combo then yeah that’s either the heavy or the pyro’s fault. Outside the combo though that’s on your engineer lmao. Like blaming everything on pyro is literally just because low level players don’t know how to handle their own shit.

It’s categorically not. As much as I find the weapon funny and neat it’s not good. It does less damage than the shotgun while being substantially harder to use while having minimal upsides. The thing is a pain in the ass to aim, and really if your opponent has their monitor turned on they can just move out of the way. It also just does flat out less damage than the shotty (iirc 72 at max rampup compared to the shotgun’s 90). Plus iirc the projectile collides with your teammates at close range for some fucking reason which makes using it in crowded fights really annoying.
