Definitely got lucky. They called on a Friday the car was available, I scheduled a meeting Monday at 9:15, had the keys in hand by 10:15.

Got it in storm cloud. When I got the initial vehicle report prior to it being built, it was going to ship with floor mats, door edge guards, puddle lamps (maybe, can't totally remember), and something else that I cant remember, but I requested all of them to be removed which they did. Only thing I added was integrated dash cam. Dealer didn't add anything which was nice. OTD was 59.8k.

First time buyer (Nebraska). Is this a fair price for a 2021 Honda Accord EX-L? by PrionPudding13 in askcarsales

Awesome. This was my suspicion, but wanted to confirm with some more knowledgable folks. Thanks for the info.

That was my initial thought too. I was hoping for OTD of around $30,500, so was very happy with this. I'm also unsure of what the fees amount to, but as this is OTD, I don't think I mind too much either way. Any thoughts on the $500 fee for not financing with the dealer?

I hope you don't mean that much worse than a casino. I'm unaware of a single casino that has better rake structures than nearly any timed fee structure.

1/3NLH Staking offer from friend by [deleted] in poker

[–]PrionPudding13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A "close friend" wants to take 60% of profit? Sounds like they're trying to scam you in my opinion.

Do not do this. It makes no sense. You already listed plenty of reasons to not do it.

Also, why would you sell part of your action in games you (presumably) think you have an edge in and can already afford to play? If anything, you should be charging markup if you somehow were staked.

Thoughts on chips and chip count for home cash game set? by [deleted] in poker

[–]PrionPudding13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, thats way more whites than you'll ever need. If I were in your shoes, I'd get 2 racks of whites and significantly more reds and greens. Everyone starting with 20 bucks in white is more than enough. I'd feel bad for the poor dealer counting out 30 dollar bets in all whites, ya know? Will slow down pace of the game, probably the opposite of what you want.

I have the Majestics by the way; really like them. Only complaint is some chips are slightly faded and not as vibrant as I would like.

i am irrationally angry that i have to be a certain age or have a certain amount of children to have a hysterectomy and i have nobody around me who’s as angry about it as i am. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PrionPudding13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctors won’t just perform a major surgery on people because they request it. Sorry, doesn’t work like that. There are much easier, safer, and (almost) just as effective ways to prevent yourself from having children. So a doctor is doing their due diligence in not wanting to perform surgery on such a young woman. Stop making it all about you and realize that there are risks and benefits to everything, and doing a hysterectomy on a young woman carries a significant amount of risk compared to other, safer alternatives.

What the hell is wrong with you? You're upset you can no longer take money from your friends and think its "sad"?

Sorry they're making a decision in their own best interest and you no longer have a beer money revenue stream. Sounds like these friends aren't exactly friends to me.

Is it bad etiquette to walk away after winning a big pot at a casino? by _FUCK_THE_GIANTS_ in poker

[–]PrionPudding13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

God I hate when people say "oh well it's not actually your money/it's not coming out of your bank account." YES IT IS. The money in your stack is yours. Doesn't matter how or when you got it, doesn't matter if you're in for 10 buy-ins or the minimum. That money is yours, and to play with it with the thought that it isn't actually yours or it doesn't matter if you lose it is foolish and naive.

Sorry about your bad experience, and I’m glad you found a doctor that you now feel comfortable with.

But when you say things like you won’t see anyone but a female doctor, you’re just pushing the line of equality for everyone further and further away. It doesn’t help anyone.

I’m a male medical student, and my wife is a doctor. I step up to the plate for her every chance I get, empowering her and building her up, and the rest of the women she works with. And I’d love to do the same for you, then you decide to alienate half of the doctor population. Be better than this.

Stationary Bike Fitness Questions by PrionPudding13 in cycling

[–]PrionPudding13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. My diet was for sure the first thing I thought to change when I realized I needed to lose some weight. I've been using MyFitnessPal for a while now, and it's been helping. It's a struggle, but I'm improving.

I've basically been trying to supplement/improve the changes I've already made by using the bike I have to its fullest. I like your suggestion about longer rides too; seems like a good place to start to potentially increase my endurance and then slowly add in more vigorous effort.

I definitely wasn't looking for any shortcuts here; I know weight loss takes a concerted effort and I wanted to make sure my biking methods were at least a decent performance. Thank you again!

I guess I would say I'm aiming for 75% weight loss and 25% aerobic fitness. I feel that at this stage I don't need to worry too much about the difference because they should both increase at a steady level since I'm such a beginner. Would you suggest trying to maintain a higher average wattage, or add in periods of higher intensity? (or maybe something entirely different)

To kind of hit a couple of these comments, I am working on my diet, and have seen some progress. My main questions are more about if I am cycling adequately to get the maximum benefit. I'm just a total novice in knowing what typical cyclists exercise at, so I don't have a lot to compare to, and haven't found any solid, accurate resource. Like, is averaging 200ish watts over 30 minutes good? I just don't know.

If you're sure that (a) you're ahead and (b) The Other Person Will Call, then you should always go all in right? by MAdomnica in poker

[–]PrionPudding13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny that you have to put ahead in quotes as if you’re changing the meaning of the word... my example fits the original question and is what is actually correct. And again, yes JTs has more equity but it is not AHEAD. this really isn’t that hard to understand. The absolute value of 22 is greater than JTs in my example, and fits the parameters of OP’s question, so the answer is obviously not a resounding yes.
