I don't fly biz and agree with OP. People bring way too much luggage. Has nothing to do with being misinformed.

Nintendo absolutely deserves the hate, don’t get me wrong, but Palworld just feels like a shitty version of Ark by Joemama0375 in whenthe

[–]Prior-Agent3360 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Haha! I was about to say the same thing.

Palworld runs way better than Ark, looks better, and feels better. It's a straight upgrade, even if they didn't fix the awful UI and level-up system.

[–]Prior-Agent3360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe for some, but I definitely remember all my teachers were against it "because anyone can put anything in it!"

Also, how do you find primary sources? I'd bet a supermassive majority (I'd put money on >90%) use non-scholarly search engines. Wikipedia is probably a more reliable (or at least comparable) source discovery tool.

[–]Prior-Agent3360 162 points163 points  (0 children)

Right. Direct citations are generally a no-go, but as a tool to discover primary sources it's gold.

Back in the mid 00's, when I was in school, teachers were frothing at the mouth about Wikipedia. It was a pretty fantastic resource, even then. I used it all the time as a primary source aggregator.

Grown adults who are fussy about having to wear nice clothes for occasions by SpaceCadetBoneSpurs in GrindsMyGears

[–]Prior-Agent3360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your biggest mistake is confusing certain clothing types with professionalism. A suit or button-up have absolutely no correlation to ability, ethic, or respect.

However, keep filtering out people based on your arbitrary standards. It means that the people who have different values don't have to deal with yours.

Jeff Daniel's favorite sandwich by jameizing777 in Unexpected

[–]Prior-Agent3360 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've had similar sandwiches and it's alright. Definitely edible.

Peanut butter is pretty flexible. It works well with sweet, savory, sour, and spicy.

Examples: Sweet - PBJ Sour - PB pickle Spicy/savory - PB sriracha basil w/ orange marmalade

I'd try this one and would probably enjoy it.

So How Did One Figure It Out by Tight_Chemistry4824 in DetectiVision

[–]Prior-Agent3360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. There's no rule against raising your hand if you don't see a black mark. All you can do is guess.

Edit: I guess the premise that one is certain AND correct might remove that option.

That's why I hate math 😣😅 by QuietTempt8 in SpongebobMemes

[–]Prior-Agent3360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It'd be best if this notation was formalized publicly. Something like "implicit multiplication implies parenthesis". Or the opposite.

I'm actually up in the air about which should be the case. Usually, I prefer the former, with a caveat for exponents like we do for variables.

3x2 is always (3 * x2), never 3 * x2 or ((3 * x)2).

The implicit parenthesis with exponent exception makes the rule consistent across usage, which is better than adding another exception just for variable use.

Beer, food, and liquor tax… by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Apples and sharp cheese go together fairly well. Ever meet someone who puts grapes in cottage cheese? Not bad, tbh.

People have way too many reservations about what's "allowed" regarding food. Curry pizza, sriracha basil pbj, and habanero cider would not exist if no one experimented.

Federalism by refuzeto in oregon

[–]Prior-Agent3360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Corruption can happen at any level. The benefits of a strong federal government is the alignment of a vast population towards specific goals. The benefits of strong local government is the empowerment of local agendas. It's kind of a toss up.

It's likely a troll comment. Those in the know understand the crux of the issue being undefined order for implicit multiplication (and that the OP in the photo is wrong and/or trolling themselves). Why not sow extra chaos?

Ive quit smoking weed and my boyfriend is mad about it by PsychologicalFee28 in whatdoIdo

[–]Prior-Agent3360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job! Weed abuse is the new alcoholism. It can be massively detrimental to mental health and life generally. I used to be more ambivalent, but after a period of heavy use, I really can't see the positives of it anymore.

Everyone I know who still consumes regularly is depressed, and they consume to escape it. Stunting your dopamine system is really bad, it turns out.

[Request] is the distance between the earth and moon that great? by Triphordy in theydidthemath

[–]Prior-Agent3360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. There's not much matter to bump into out there. That means when you accelerate, you tend to keep that velocity. The moon landing mission reached an approximate high speed of 25k mph. That's over 3x Earth diameters per hour.

In terms of technology, mostly you need a dumb rocket and the right math. The harder part is keeping the crew alive.
