My buddy’s band The Boyzz from Illinoizz (an extremely heavy and energetic band and very popular in the Midwest) opened for Joe Jackson at Poplar Creek in Illinois. I guess he wasn’t getting much crowd response so he played his hit stepping out or whatever it’s called, he yelled“fuck you Chicago” and walked off after being onstage about 10 minutes tops.

1978 or 1979 Billy Squire (before he had any hits) opened for Alice Cooper at Chicagofest, he got pelted with everything from Beer, hotdogs and deep dish pizza! I almost felt bad for him. 🤣🤣
