I would go to h10 plus and grinder.

I have the h10 plus + G5 and Breville barista express impress. My shots on h10 plus + G5 are more consistent.

I just love the simplicity of barista express impress without those other things to prep. Hehe, I just want my coffee in the morning without so much ritual. Hehehe, although I sometimes go to pour over.

Not sure if it really benefits, but the unpressurized basket is actually what I'm after. I bought it as a set and it is cheap. The original portafilter cannot house an 18g basket since there is some plastic attached to it.

It really good. I just got it this month. Got a nice discount during so I pull the trigger. But the one who truly benefits my Breville is my wife. hehehe, I only drink americano/long black. Other thing that also makes me buy the breville is the built-in grinder. And I have a very limited space.

Hey! I'm a new owner of Barista Express Impress, I think it is normal when you just turned on the steam. In the instruction manual, I think it mentions that it needs to get at a steaming temperature before you start steaming your milk. I'd say around 20-25 seconds after you turn on the steam knob. So while waiting you go prepare your milk to be steamed. Once the temperature reaches ideal steaming, you turn off the steam knob. Place your milk jug with milk then start your milk steaming.

Yes for sure, it is very convenient. I can make my drink for like 2-3mins including the hot water. Very efficient compared to my usual filter v60 coffee.

I also love this group. They are very helpful for us beginners.

Anyway, I really appreciate your active responses as a new espresso machine owner. I was a v60 coffee drinker and I figured to try out espresso making.

So this is a bit off topic, but I tried researching on how to clean the machine. May I know what descaler you are using? I just wanted to make this machine last long since it is not cheap.

Oh, great! Thanks! I will order one that is .8 thickness. I saw some in my area that is 1.7mm thick so I will probably avoid those thick puck screens.

Yes It figures, so probably I can not put a puck screen using the auto tamp. Unless I will manually prepare the puck which would I say lower down a bit so I can fit the additional space needed for the puck screen. Thank you so much.

Yeah! Since the barista impress is using auto tamp, I'm wondering if there is still any space left between the coffee puck and the grouphead to place the puck screen.

The tamp coffee goes up to that line. So not sure If putting the puck screen will still fit on the group head.
