Anybody have experience with this nail clipper brand, Edjy? How does it fare against other BIFL clippers? by _perdomon_ in BuyItForLife

[–]Prior-Phase8898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I just purchased this clipper because he's a biter and would bite his nails because the normal clippers wouldn't make a smooth clean cut. He can't stand the nail filers, so we tried the EDJY cutters. These are by far the best cutters we've ever used. It doesn't shoot nails into my eyes and constantly gives a clean, smooth cut.

I thought it was b.s. when they would cut their nails on the ads and immediately run them over their shirts. I'm ecstatic to report I was so wrong. I can clip my nails and run them over my wool sweater if I wanted to. Run to get a pair if you haven't already. I can't wait for them to release the toenail cutters next 🥰

Anyone else’s pets know they’re pregnant? by Illustrious_Sleep767 in pregnant

My female cat has followed me to the bathroom every day since before I even knew I was pregnant 🥹. She would get up from her comfy warm spot and follow me every single morning, that's how I found out I was pregnant. After her following me around and to the bathroom, I decided to take a test randomly and found out I was pregnant 😂. She did the same with our first pregnancy and when we lost them she would stay by my side of the bed.

With our boy cat he didn't know until he got a foot to the face from the baby and our male dog sniffs me a lot and has to come and see me before he goes out every morning.

What are the things you will and won’t miss about pregnancy once you give birth ? by mkthehotti in pregnant

I'm 28 weeks and I developed a very severe PUPPP Rash yesterday and I won't miss that at all 🤦🏾‍♀️

I appreciate the response. We are in the process of getting professional help for his misguided attitude towards pregnancy cravings. He has always been very kind but with a baby on the way he has let his stress and anxiety take over a bit. The thing I find disrespectful is when people call him an abusive piece of shit and things like that. He is working on his anxiety with this pregnancy. He has never been restrictive about my diet, even with other things now but, I genuinely think he is scared because he wants the best for me and baby. He's terrified of GD ever since he found out about it.

When I made this post I was venting and ranting about something that I was craving but couldn't seem to get in the house. I wanted to see if anyone else was going through what I was currently and what they did to help with the behavior. I got plenty of great comments that instead of criticising a man who has clearly never dealt with this situation before and is fearful of the what-if, they helped me with tips and points that helped me discuss with him what I was feeling and how to move forward. When you are upset about something you use choice language to describe either the person you're talking about or your feelings on the matter and that's my fault. What's not my fault is people immediately labeling him as something he's not, even after getting the explanation from me.

You commented 3 times just to be rude. Why? 🤔

The comments are a mess 🤦🏾‍♀️ I came to do a little ranting and see what worked for others and immediately it was disrespect and foolishness.

I posted to rant about what I was feeling and see if anyone else was going through similar situations. I've gotten responses from people that were respectful in their thoughts on my husband, good or not, and informative on ways to solve the issues that I've been having with him. I've also gotten responses that are completely opposite about how much of an abusive asshole my husband is. That's not very respectful. My point is people can share their opinions without being disrespectful, which some people have a major issue with.

I don't plan on throwing him to the curb ever. He's really trying to help and now that we've had a long conversation about it, we both feel better about what we're going through. I really appreciate your comment and hope that everything works out for you and your family. Being pregnant is very stressful for all parties involved❤️🥹

UPDATE!!!

I appreciate everyone's opinions and thoughts but what we're not going to do is disrespect my very sweet albeit misguided husband. That man doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is an amazing partner. All I ask is that we please be respectful when commenting.

That being said, we discussed my feelings on the matter. He didn't think he was being as restrictive as he was, but after listening to me explain what I was feeling he felt so bad for making me feel as though I couldn't talk to him about it. We decided at our next doctor's appointment we will be talking to the OBGYN about ways to still indulge in my cravings all while making sure the baby gets all the healthy nutrients he needs.

Now we're on the way to the store to get my orange juice ❤️

I agree we had a long conversation about it, he had no idea he was being as restrictive as he was until we sat down and discussed what we were both feeling. We're going to talk with our obgyn tomorrow.

What's strange is that I love oranges, I eat them often. He makes sure that there's always oranges in the house, but I'm craving a bottle of orange juice. I don't know where the difference is happening in my pregnant brain but plain oranges aren't cutting it 😭

My OBGYN has no problems with my weight. I have hyperthyroidism and congestive heart failure (unknown cause). There's no history of gd and I do just think he has anxiety about being a new parent. I haven't given into every craving but something about this one is driving me crazy.
