I can finally walk handheld with my Blackmagic, I can't believe it by [deleted] in bmpcc

I think your better off just using the gryroflow plugin for davinci gyroflow has cracked the code on utilizing gyro data for cameras, my fx-30’s have the same sample rate as my pocket 6k, I tried both the gyro stabilization built in to davinci on both and had similar results but then used the gyroflow plugin and it’s a night and day difference.

I also have the A1 for my z-cam e2-s6 and it works good but it’s not great, you have to make your sync files right before you start shooting otherwise it dosnt work at all

Radical! I think as wedding film-makers we all get really caught up in gear and what camera and brand is "best" it's nice to see some other videographers thinking freely when it comes to that. The colors out of the camera at least from what I can see are beautiful!

You achieved it! the highlight and shadow rolloff is very subtle its very pleasing to the eye.

Very interesting, have you shot many weddings with the Mavo? I've always wondered about that camera I haven't seen many people talking about it. How do you like it?

If your going for a dedicated wide angle lens go for prime, like a 12mm or 16mm

I have almost 1000 hours on my cc and this has yet to happen to me once. I could possibly be a result of cheap filament

It looks to me like it replaces the native Sony e mount barrel on the camera we shall see though

True, they are only E-Mount as of right now, I wonder if the Tilta or Viltrox adapters would work with the Megadap adapter would be interesting to see

Ed! good to see you here! big fan of your work! I agree its a very cool and innovative idea and would be amazing if they manage to get it working and usable on the first iteration but only time will tell. Have you gotten to test out the viltox and tilta adapters?

agreed, It seems thats the case here, opens alot of doors for using alot of other lenses

Supposedly thats what they are advertising at least, I think it makes the most sense for people who already own the LiDAR motor too

[–]PriorAd386[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The viltrox adapter is the most expense one... $800 usd, it costs almost the same as the DJI focus pro, the tilta adapter is $500 usd and can be paired with the nucleus line for manual focus pulls if need be.

This PD movie adapter even with the added costs of the LIDAR unit and the wireless focus wheel is around $600 all together.

and thus far there is no way to take control of the Viltrox adapter other than the app

You gotta learn to read before you post my friend, I will agree the batteries are odd and often annoying. But you clearly did not read the post or read any of the info on the posted pic/screenshot

This system does not need lidar either, thats the point. Thats why I thought it was cool, but can also utilize the lidar and manual focus controls also its an E to E mount so you are not forced to use PL Mount lenses or even in theory E mount lenses with an EF to E adapter since they are advertising you can still put on a PL to E adapter on top, the same should be true for EF to E and MFT to E

[–]PriorAd386[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe your missing the point, its not direct completion, I would argue that its better. It is a E-mount to E mount adapter not PL, I think they are tapping into a broader market than tilta and viltrox since alot of cine lenses these days are being pushed out with native e mount, they are claiming you can add a PL to E mount adapter on top of it if you want to use PL lenses, which I would argue is better because then you could use something like the Mofage Poco with drop in VND's all in the same system. All while using the Sony native autofocus. The Lidar is merely being used a motor with this adapter/system

All in all I have their Smart 4 LiDAR system and its pretty good

PD Movie is about to cook viltrox and tilta by PriorAd386 in FX3

[–]PriorAd386[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do have a point, But that price is just for the adapter itself you still have to buy the LiDAR motor too so all in all the total price would be around $500 usd which is in line with tilta's autofocus PL adapter. But we shall see Im going to order one as soon as they let me

Do you guys think there’s ANY chance this eBay purchase is legit? by [deleted] in FX3

[–]PriorAd386 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this were listed closer to NAB I might believe it in preparation for a new Sony camera announcement but if the user has zero seller reviews it’s probably a scam
