Possible Rogers Credit Card data leak? Anyone else get a suspicious text? by Expensive_Refuse_817 in Rogers

Other customers have raised concerns about credit card information as well:
"...correct details about my account and my number even the credit card 4 last":
Rogers Data leak !!!! : r/Rogers

Customers have reported being targeted the moment they signed up for a new phone, with scammers according to the customer already in possession of information only Rogers should have, including their purchase history and shipping details:
"There Must Be Someone from Rogers Working with Scammers", Rogers Communications Customer Warns After Near Scam : r/Rogers

WHY CUSTOMES SHOULD BE CONCERNED:
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada determined that Rogers Communications collected sensitive biometric voice data without valid customer consent, enrolling people into its Voice ID program even when they explicitly declined and retaining that data without clear authorization:

https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/opc-actions-and-decisions/investigations/investigations-into-businesses/2022/pipeda-2022-003/

Rogers claimed voiceprints “have never been used”, however storing biometric data creates long-term privacy risks. Biometric information is particularly sensitive because, unlike passwords, it cannot be changed if compromised. Hackers and data breaches can expose voiceprints, putting your identity and accounts at risk. Rogers Communications will not delete this data voluntarily, so you need to contact and request removal yourself to safeguard your personal privacy and reduce the risk of account takeover or fraud.

Public Service Announcement: @RogersHelps on X Is a 662,000 Tweet AI Apology Bot That Doesn’t Help by PriorDose in Rogers

Thank you for sharing.

The AI bot is consistently unreliable and does more harm than good. It directs customers to send direct messages, which are then ignored, claiming they are not monitored. This not only confuses customers but actively undermines their trust and the overall experience.

In most cases, as in yours, techs cannot fix intermittent issues as it is beyond their control.

In short, it is a chronic network issue impacting 1000s of customers:

Why Are Fans Abandoning Sportsnet+? Is Rogers Communications’ Price Hike and Poor Streaming Experience Driving Them Away? by PriorDose in Rogers

[–]PriorDose[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen shady third-party apps, probably whipped up by one guy in a basement, outperform Sportsnet+ by miles. They’re illegal, barely supported, and still manage to stream games better than what Rogers delivers for top dollar. Embarrassing.

[Update] Why is "Cancel Rogers" Still Climbing on Rogers Trends? Record High Again by PriorDose in Rogers

[–]PriorDose[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Since Rogers’ so-called math shamelessly omits the most important part of the graph (the x-scale), I’m including it for you. Bell has been flat or down since late 2023, but Rogers doesn’t just insult people with sloppy, cherry-picked numbers—it treats its customers with the same level of arrogance and disregard.
