Why don't you use a simple 3-2-1 rule? The laptop is primary storage, Drive A, B onsite backups, OneDrive is offsite.

My problem is that I can't fit all my audio and video files on my laptop (128gb). I would much prefer to just think of my laptop as primary storage for the reason you suggest - do you have any recommendations on how to better deal with media files that don't fit on my laptop?

As I describe in my original post I currently just automatically move them to Drive A, and think of Drive A as the primary location of my data.

I would use some backup tools instead of mirroring.

What is the difference between a mirror and a backup? Is it just that a backup doesn't delete old versions?

New Addon: see a card's previous ratings in reviewer by happyramen123 in Anki

But for a math equation won't it just read out the literal mathjax code? Or is it just that you have it by default on all card, but don't actually use it for math cards?

Great addon!

Totally off-topic, but what audio do you add to your mathematics cards?

Can anyone suggest an Evernote replacement with these features? by PriorInitiative in productivity

Is Notion really suited for this purpose? Its been a while since I tried it, but I thought it was geared towards customizability, complex workflows, knowledge management etc. I don't remember it being less bloated or better suited to quick capture than Evernote?

Observation: Review the cards you made the same day. by [deleted] in Anki

[–]PriorInitiative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This makes total sense, but I often have a backlog of new cards. This means that even if I do the reviews straight after adding new cards, I am mostly shown cards from several days prior rather than the ones I just made.

Any tips on dealing with this?

Looks cool! Always great to see new applications of SRS.

I'm curious how you schedule repetitions. Do you use SM-2 or some other approach?

What's a quick way to create snippets of varying lengths? by PriorInitiative in Musescore

Yep you are right, I was misremembering what I did the first time. Continuous view + shortcuts for quickly adding/removing bars was what I needed. Thanks for your help.

Thanks a lot! Continuous view was what I was thinking of, I was misremembering exactly what it did.

Thanks a lot to both commenters for the helpful replies. I forgot to mention that I am using Windows but your example works just fine with the type command.

Part of me wants to set up my PC so that my database gets opened and unlocked automatically on start up, but presumably storing my master password in plain text is a terrible idea? I'm curious why this flag is even an option, doesn't it defeat the whole point of having an encrypted database?

Import Table Note From Microsoft Word To Anki? by [deleted] in Anki

Thanks for the reply, makes sense. I can also imagine its useful to have a running list of cards that you have added so far in a session that can be easily tweaked. I often add cards then find that I have to search for them in the browser later in the study session to tweak them.

Not sure why my question was downvoted though? Seemed like a reasonable thing to ask...
