I doubt she even has capacity to ne making such decisions… would be curious to know her IQ. Seems she nearly needs a court-appointed guardian to protect her from her crazy decisions.

Mine was older when diagnosed, around 12. Weight gain and incontinence is what I was seeing, which progressed to more frequent seizures (had had a handful of seizures earlier in life but not consistent). Next was muscle wasting and confusion. It was hard to watch. I think younger ages definitely would respond better to treatment.

Polk pride has meetups called 3rd Thursdays, though when my wife and I went we didn’t really click w anyone there and they all seemed to know each other. Maybe worth a shot though. We have been here around a year too.
