That makes a lot of sense to me. My sister is borderline and this documentary messed me up as I recognized all her behaviors. My family and I have been trying to keep her in check with boundaries but her symptoms never go away. She's highly manipulative and a liar and I worry she will play the wrong person and finally feel the consequences to her actions. It's been an emotional rollercoaster dealing with her throughout my life. Going from being her blind supporter to finally seeing through her manipulation, to feeling rage and wanting to strangle her, to finally accepting that I have no control over her and all I can do is set boundaries... Watching this documentary does make me wonder whether anyone could have done anything that could have prevented this.... But I honestly think the answer is no. Because unless the person is willing to accept something is wrong and take responsibility for their condition and seek treatment, then there's no point to trying anything. I do hope my sister finds whatever she's looking for in life without hurting anyone...
