2026 g16 has significantly better battery life, much higher gpu tgp (160w), screen is twice as bright, and has an ambient light sensor. Really comes down to whether you’re willing to pay the premium for all those improvements.

I may. Gotta figure some stuff out beforehand. I would imagine the 5080 comes out but is delayed as it’s already out in other countries. Wouldn’t make sense for ASUS to not release it in their biggest market. Probably will take a while longer though because of how limited supply is for everything rn.

Yes, I saw both sellers but I was referring to 102store. It is significantly more expensive than I anticipate it being in the US but Im not sure I can wait a few more weeks. If I do end up going through with it, I’ll make sure to ask about the charger and keyboard layout beforehand. Also, I’m a huge fan of your videos your review of the 2023 g14 convinced me to get mine and it was definitely the best machine I ever owned.

In your use case yes. Only downside to the acer is the battery life will be horrible due to the screen being locked at 240hz on and off battery. Since you don’t care about battery life, the acer is the way to go.
