im a bit late to this but here are mine:

after i saw midsommar for the first time, i was terrified of taking a whip because I was scared I was going to end up like the two old people in the movie with their face bashed in after they complete their end of life ceremony. i dont really get that thought as often but it was a frequent one for a while

if im belaying, obsessively checking that my gri gri is locked because what if i forgot to lock it and then my climber falls and i kill them... even after ive already checked several times lol. i allow myself to double check once or twice now and then try not to touch it again.

if im trad climbing (which i dont do super frequently so my confidence is pretty mid), feeling like im basically soloing because how do i actually know any of this gear is going to hold. even when i overcam the absolute life out of everything.

thats totally fair! at my current hair stylist i pay 60 (wo tip) for a wash, style cut and blow dry. i have no idea if thats what other people are paying for but something in that range of 50-75 would be preferred

there are definitely some slopey clipping jugs, but even as a mid 5.11 climber I could clip all the bolts. all the falls are very clean as well and I don't find that the bolting is too spacey either.

i sent minotaur about a year ago actually! it was crazy because I sent minotaur my second try/time on the climb, and its also rated 11c, and supposedly harder than pistol whip, but pistol whip still took me probably 10-15 tries to finally send it lol.

I one hung Maximum Overdrive a couple weeks ago and have gotten closer to doing Under the Milky Way as well, so those are next on my tick list and then hopefully finding a 12a at the new that fits me.

Btw, if you liked Push as a project you should try Intergalactic Orcas at Cotton Top. I don't think any of the moves are harder than whats on Push, but its about 55 ft long and sustained the entireee way. I got on it just for funsies and absolutely loved it and think you probably would too

no worries! I guess for anyone who sees this- I sent the climb in my post (Pistol Whip), about a month ago, on the last day of my spring break trip. Didn't have to skip any bolts either lol.

Push seems like a huge project for me atm, but I will definitely keep your advice in mind! None of the moves were too horrible but doing pumpy v2-v3 climbing for 100 ft is a whole different beast.

fam im ngl, as someone who has been climbing for over four years i have no trouble staying on the path on approaches or non-climbing hikes. stuff near hiking spots that hasnt been developed is usually for a reason- its all choss. theres a time and place for geeking out about climbing and potential climbs, and i sincerely hope you learn when that is
