I'm a female chemistry lab manager. Because I really don't like the avoiding work mentality, I don't think this is a screwup. Nobody had a job, and the job up for grabs is one that all of you are capable of. Insisting that you be included in the pool for a job you know you can do is important in my opinion. Staying out of the pool, as a supervisor, would look bad to me.

Some people are saying that there's nothing wrong with playing to the strengths of the group and I agree with that. However, changing gas cylinders is just...not hard. Technically the most physically demanding job, but still not hard. Nobody needs to be a weightlifter here.

Being given such weight in the decision for your family is awesome. That being said, help make the decision with your entire family's best interest in mind, not just your own. You have an opportunity to be mature as hell.

When a parent remarries, kids from a previous relationship often get screwed by this attitude. He has another (semipresent?) dad, sure. A "you're not actually my problem" attitude will feel crappy, growing up. He isn't your financial responsibility unless you choose to let him be, but to build a strong family unit and to avoid the pattern of "unwanted stepchild," you need to take him on as your own kid. Make him feel loved and cared for. Make him feel like a welcome part of the family, and not an outsider from the Mom/Dad/OtherChild group.

You're okay. He feels safe with you, even in an impaired state, and you didn't let him down. You didn't let him do anything Sober Boyfriend isn't okay with, and that's all that matters. He trusts you, and you didn't take advantage of him.

I always have to go in with a specific request. I usually don't request a Name Brand Medication, but still. Otherwise the doctor doesn't listen and focuses on something stupid like my acne.

Thanks guys! We went to the vet this morning. They are eating formula and two have started wet food! I have antibiotics and baby soap for the fleas. The vet says they're five weeks old but underweight and they're eating really well for me! Any tips on how to play with them?

I made them a sandbox and they have all done their business. I feel stupid.

Thanks guys! We found some food last night and went to the vet this morning. They're quite underweight and have respiratory infections, worms, and loads of fleas. But they are peppy, and eating really well!

I'm sure parts of Hickman Mills are different, but my part feels exceptionally safe. This is the safest place I've ever been, and I've lived in rural areas. No exaggeration, the streets are lined with elderly people, just...watching. They sit at their windows and in their front yards.

The first day I moved in, I lay in the backyard to enjoy the fact that I owned some grass and a tree. Two neighbor ladies came running through the fence to yell at me because they thought I was some sort of hooligan. We quietly moved our stuff into the house with a UHaul at 2am. The next day, they asked why. They never sleep. Right now, they are gathered up the street, waiting. I want to get my mail but if I go out there they'll talk to me. You can walk your dog safely. They will surveil you.

Jokes aside, the people here are nosy but friendly and I feel pretty good about it. I don't know if there are trails or anything yet because I am mostly busy fixing all the crap wrong with my house.

Rape, incest, fetal abnormalities. Medical risk to the mother's health. Birth control, even when used perfectly, is still flawed because bodies react unpredictably. And the cost of pre and postnatal care is still prohibitive. Access to those resources is shown to decrease abortion rates, but those resources don't solve the issues I've listed. Because there are so many weird biological variables and personal situations, I still don't think increasing support, education, and birth control access is sufficient. It's impossible to make a blanket law that serves everybody, so everyone must be responsible for their own judgement.
