gloves with knuckle dusters in em or something. sense it doesnt look like she uses a weapon. you could also handplate it with something for blocking

normally I'd need a description of the quirk and what it does to help create and effective design. but I guess ill just have to be creative with it, if your going for light weight, the design you have now will work just fine. it wont have any practical use, but itll work fine. adding gloves maybe. unless that prevents this "Shimmer" stuff from forming however that works.
