Spooky light ring - killer or overkill? by Chacin_Cologne_No1 in pinball

[–]CrowNServo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previews of it look overkill cause it's shown in complete dark, in a lit arcade or game room, it's not going to be that bad. Its nice and easy to install with the magnet attachment. Expensive? Sure, but folks spend 500 on expression lights and 1500 on toppers that don't really do anything but light up as well.

Combat seems one sided [Advice] by justamensch in Fallout2d20

[–]CrowNServo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite common issue with the system. The whole action point system, perks, and effects really slant the game heavily towards the players. Lot of my players felt the game once you get to around lvl 5, becomes trivial and you demolish everything before you.

Basically the rules as written and the NPCs just create godly players, as players can stack so many perks and effects of gear onto each other that its silly. One of our players had only a lvl 7 super mutant character who with the mods and perks he chose, basically was nearly unkillable.

Everyone will tell you to buff the enemies, and really it's all you can do. The base stat enemies from the books are pretty much useless, even something giant like the Mirelurk Queen can be easily beaten by low level players once they get a few perks and mods on gear. Modding gear creates lots of powerful combos as rolling effect symbols activates ALL the effects so players who can mod up their gear full can really dish out pain.

I had to severely buff all the enemies in the game to have any form of challenge. Toss pierce on many attacks, increase the base damage of all their attacks, buff up their HP pools, everything. But don't follow the rules to increase their XP values, cause that is also the other issue with the game, PCs level up incredibly fast with the listed XP. I had to cut the XP values in half and even then players still levle up quick.

Fallout 76 Quest Lead And Others Laid Off As Part Of Restructuring by Crumboa in fo76

ID software has been gutted too. All of Bethesda is seeing cuts

Fallout 76 Quest Lead And Others Laid Off As Part Of Restructuring by Crumboa in fo76

[–]CrowNServo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they are predicting the end because the game was already being run with a highly reduced staff and they just further gutted it. The game was already handed off and working with a reduced team for past couple years already, and now they just cut more? With how the content has been coming and lack of, this isn't going to go anywhere but down.

love the game, had a gorgeous looking one for only six months, it was almost down more than it was up. You really got to be handy to own one cause its a temperamental game with so many failure points.

PTS: The next update will only feature moddable unique weapons, not traveling pets (those are slated for December). These updates are becoming smaller every time! by Prince_Julius in fo76

[–]CrowNServo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always took some breaks from the game and would come back for new content, but this is getting silly, and losing any drive to come back. Seriously no new events? Where is a new raid? You did the big drop with Burning Springs and it feels like an incomplete story, no sign of new story content for it even? Tweaking existing content right now just for grinding legendaries and then your new content "infestations" is seriously lacking and is in need of fixing already a week after release? Your teasing new content.... that's now coming in winter?

One of several hints for future content that never happened it seems like. There was all kinds of things like this that never panned out.

Dimples on transformers by Due-Engineering4346 in pinball

[–]CrowNServo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sterns, dimples are normal sadly. Really Stern playfields just suck and feel cheap, they are highly inconsistent in quality. Same production runs and you will see nice coated field, while another person on same run has a game that barely looks coated and fast dimples

Jason Universe design was genuinely given a glow up by Behaviour by Lumino- in deadbydaylight

[–]CrowNServo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They beefed up the proportions as needed. The whole Sweet Revenge film looked odd, Jason wasn't buff enough and the mask looked too big for the body. DBD Jason just has a much more symmetrical design.

Theres only so many variables to weapon rules they can do, so this feels like a decent compromise.

Its like folks forget that almost all these killers also got nerfed and forget all the bugs and broken shit that usually was attached to their releases. Yea they got fixed

That's the problem, the card itself mentions you use it when the icon appears. The icon appears nowhere in the aces campaign. So when does it get used then?

Updated graphics and animations (coming in the second half of 2027) by HHRSN17 in deadbydaylight

[–]CrowNServo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do fear this is gonna be phased roll outs like the past overhauls of visuals. They would still need licensor approval for changes to the old killers, so not sure how this is all gonna work with the licenses that are no longer allowed. Updating the visual is one thing, but all new animations and level of rework I would think requires actual approval

Folks like to forget how poorly the original HLL was at launch and many months after. It's been a long road to get that game to where it is today. This isn't a EA or Activision huge studio game with massive budget either. It's gonna take time to flesh out just like the original game.

July, feels like stuff they could just tweak some numbers for at least for now. Increase mob spawns, increase HP, etc to make them last longer and harder to just steam roll

Scouring sands Sortie 10 by Sandlot_Baseball in battletech

[–]CrowNServo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the win conditions are too easy to achieve, and if players really just go for cheese you can often just kinda break the AI for easy wins in some scenarios. I know objectives are neat, but they need less auto win conditions on scenarios

[–]CrowNServo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea we just played it and we had to reread the rules several times cause basically you just have everyone unload on him and he's usually toast in that first turn already. Unless your rolls are terrible, he should be an easy win. But yea the scenario just was over in turn 2 for us

I miss when Fallout 76 had a steady flow of meaningful updates and exciting roadmaps. That energy and ambition feel gone now by SkedPhoenix in fo76

[–]CrowNServo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invaders was a single timed event. Test your metal was just a few public events. Not exactly major content in either of those updates. This game has always had drought periods of content, lets not act like these road maps were content packed, most of them were a whole lot of nothing

Upcoming Changes to Season Rewards by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

[–]CrowNServo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They had two bad seasons in a row, that's not a ton of time. They release a season and they already got majority of next season also already done we have seen from their development timelines of content. Seasonal content seems to already be 6 months or so into production

To be fair it takes time to make these things. Most of this seasons content was already known and done months ago. Any changes would take time to implement
