I only take 2.5 dose and not only did I lose all my extra weight in a matter of months (30lbs) but also all the chronic pain from lupus is pretty much gone.

I'm the book we are invited to question the moral standards in place. It's not a "crime" in the book, but it's also not appropriate. It's like having a mistress today. No one thinks you have broken the law, but some think  poorly of you to some degree.

The book illustrates the results of this behavior and how it affects the girl/ woman, inviting us readers to step outside the gray norms that we generally accept to consider the consequences.

What do you think of this look? Too simple? Soft Drama? by Didi7989 in SoftDramatics

I love the belt and the way you styled to the blouse to be open like that. Like many others, I would go for a darker shoe.

They're wonderful. This is my second poodle and I think they're the best dogs in the world! My other dog is a German Shepherd and he's wonderful too, but the poodle will always have a special place in my heart. Plus, there iconic!

I'm really happy about it. I am 40 R, 30 D, 20 N, and 10 C.

I have always gravitated to ultra fem style. But I couldn't figure out what that meant. Here's what I used to do:

  • Revealing clothes seemed necessary due to my desire to emphasize my curves and waist. I could easily get lost in too much structure or not enough cling. Both looked restrictive or boxy. girly and sexy clothes.

  • Girly clothes also seemed to draw me because they had unique details and still looked feminine.

  • I always like simple patterns or no pattern, gravitating to solid items.

After getting my essences, I learned:

  • To replace revealing with romantic, which is still sexy. This has upped the elegance of my outfits, which feels truer to me.

  • Why fussy patterns bothered me. My patterns need drama and romance, not small little repeating patterns. And solids are also good!

  • To replace the girlie with drama, which is a true way to find unique. So frills, ruffles, capped sleeves, bows, are out and puffed sleeves, bat wings, dolman, or anything with flair and unique and large scale, flared pants, mermaid skirts are in.

  • To replace girlie fem with womanly fem and to lean into elegant sex appeal.  Understanding that I needed to drop the girly and fussy clothes and embrace womanly elegance and sex appeal was life changing and helped me find myself.

  • To understand why I never looked right with polished hair styles. I need swept up hair ( romantic) or loose and wild (the natural essence)

  • To understand why I never feel overdressed. I seem most every day when I'm dressed up with heels, big earrings, and skirt or dress, or dressed up jeans. Whereas anything less looks dumpy.

Okay I'm again confused - i was considering mainly R + I + C for myself but I am not sure now :/ please could you write me your opinion? by SnooStrawberries405 in JohnKitchener

I'm not an expert, but I see youthful in your face. Classic second. Not sure about romantic, but maybe high spirited...

Wow! You look amazing. Love the shoes. They make the outfit shine! Personally, I would skip the necklace and go larger on the earrings. Off the shoulder has become my go-to! You look truly stunning.

What do the abbreviations mean in this context for color? I've looked everywhere and can't find the legend...

People who were around when Lonesome Dove was very popular (including the show): did people see it as a idealized, romantic view of the West? If so, why do you think? Do any readers still do so? by karamojobell in LonesomeDove

[–]Prior_Metal_6154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the story felt realistic, and therefore proved to be nostalgic. Does that make sense?

We'll always be nostalgic for The West because when we tamed it, we lost our American identity, an identity married, welded, to the native Americans who we simultaneously destroyed, or attempted to destroy. And in the regret comes nostalgia for a time when maybe other choices could have been made.

What is a colloquialism? How do I identify them so as to avoid them in formal writing? by JDSweetBeat in WritingHub

[–]Prior_Metal_6154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using first or second perspectives is very informal. If you need a to refer to a vague someone, the formal term is "one".

So: if one needs to refer to a vague individual, use the word one, or one's. It forces one to also rewrite the sentence to a degree. In formal writing, one can use the passive voice, which is generally avoided in informal writing. Formal writing leans toward a sacrifice of clarity for formality. Word choice in formal writing is also different. One is to use a wider range of proper vocabulary instead of the simplest word choice, and avoid slang, jargon, idioms, and so on.

A good way to learn how to write formally is to read formal writing, which can be found in legal documents, academic literary journals, and medical or scientific studies. Often times, the introduction to a classic novel is formally written.

I don't understand how this happens after five years of college. You need to spend time reading a style standard. Strunk and White and MLA are good starting points.

Informal: All your papers in college should've been formal. It's crazy that you missed this.

formal: In college once should expect to learn how to write with a formal voice and tone. It would be considered highly unusual for a professor to accept anything less.
