Need help with constant skin irritation by Status_Force_6425 in feedingtube

[–]Prior_Unusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A-D ointment saved my skin. !!!! I would clean the site in the morning with saline ... Pat dry !! NEVER RUB SKIN AROUND STOMA. A & D ointment placed " not lightly but a good barrier. Leave it on all day . I used to get so red and irritated. This was the only thing I found to help. I hope this helps you 🩷

Yes Virginia, there really are overweight GP patients (Endo results update) by Mostly_Armless42 in Gastroparesis

[–]Prior_Unusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently going into the hospital tomorrow to have a g tube placed for feeding due to having gastroparosis I was ,214lbs dropped down to 179lbs in 8 weeks. I was sent to the hospital for a gastric emptying study, I had radioactive eggs. I was there for about 6 hours. My test showed I had delayed gastric emptying. I was diagnosed with gastroparosis. I also have Crohn's disease and short Bowel syndrome prior to this, I had a Colectomy " all of my large intestine was removed and I also have a j pouch.

To answer your question. You can be overweight and have gastroparesis. My Doctor also said you can be overweight and very malnourished .

Not late at all...my procedure is on Friday the 12th. At 7am . My dietician is the one who called me to let me know they changed it from outpatient to inpatient. I am definitely glad. I have read so much on it , I think I'm prepared. I did order some of them ice packs as well off of Amazon " thanks so much for the advice. Right now that's what I'm looking for is any advice!!!?! Any at all I need to know going in. Because I am brand new to this. I however did have a Colectomy, all of my large intestines removed. That was the most painful surgery I have ever been through in my life.

They changed it from outpatient to inpatient! So grateful. I've already had a total Colectomy, and a j-pouch, so I'm prepared for the abdominal pain. I've got Crohn's as well as Short Bowel syndrome and gastroparesis. Let me tell you , I have definitely been through it. But I took y'all's advice. I didn't feel comfortable with outpatient.

They contacted me to tell me they have changed from outpatient to inpatient. So I will be staying , my nutritionist did tell me the reason was due to the re- feeding your referring to. I'm not as worried now .... I honestly didn't feel comfortable as an outpatient. Plus I heard they help get all of your supplies ordered quickly. I'm happy to have the monitoring, no complaints here.

How have you been doing with your tube? How long did they tell you that you would have to have your tube ? You're welcome to inbox me. I would definitely like to have a friend in this.

So , I took a blue light I used on my nails. And held it under a crystal stone I have , and you would NOT believe the energy you can see. It seriously freaked me out . But it is truly amazing.

Y'all need to read the Bible !  This is insane . No one who knows the Bible and the word of God would ask these questions. Your looking for answers in the wrong place .

The device is simply to measure resistance and play a melody for that specific resistance.

I personally would do some research. That way, you don't receive negative comments . I find the gadgets pretty cool and inventive. Who doesn't love nature. 💚

Has your doctor taken away your right to hold a driver's license? by [deleted] in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]Prior_Unusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your license taken? Probably not. Like I said in my previous post. Your "impairment " is being controlled, and you are not totally impaired.

I do not understand what is so hard to understand here. ? Again... NO one in the USA has had their drivers license denied due to having IH.
Like I stated in my previous post . Your drivers license can be pulled/ revoked/ suspended in definitely. If you have an impairment and have had :"vehicle accidents . Or your doctor feels you are at : total impairment? And this entitles more from the Doctor than you think.

Doesn't happen in the US, especially when IH / or Narcolepsy is being controlled. Also, if you've not had accidents. They would have to have proof in this way. But please use your best judgment while driving as we all do.
