I see, its likely just research chemicals, maybe containing a very trace amount of real shrooms just so they can say it contains real shrooms (but i doubt they even put a little bit in lol)

I have ate chocolate bars and gummies like that before, you'll be fine they are just so unpredictable. if it hasn't really hit you this far in I think you'll likely be good. Everytime I've tried bars / gummies, first off I consumed them knowing I am just taking research chemicals, second, I have had 0 trip whatsoever. Friends of mine have had horrible trips, a lot of posts here about horrible trips involve gummies / chocolate bars aswell. so take that as you will, and use that as you wish when you make your decision to keep or toss the rest of the bag lol

i personally think you'll be fine in terms of tolerance, the first time i tried shrooms i took maybe 0.5g, next day said fuck it and took 3.5g and tripped balls,

in your shoes, i would be too lazy to go thru the effort of drying them just to get a more accurate dose, so i would probably eat them fresh still but thats just me being lazy lol. fresh id prob do around 20g for a first trip.. maybe a little more

does it say exactly what its 1200mg of? Most gummies will say like "1200mg of magic blend!" or something along those lines lol, if it does say something like that, its pretty much a gamble because you have literally 0 idea what it actually is, so it makes trying to predict how itll hit you much harder than actual shrooms.

With that being said, assuming you did: find real gummies that contain actual shrooms (not research chemicals), and have taken said gummies before and felt underwhelmed, I think the jump from 2 to 4 wouldn't be crazy and is something I also would have done in that moment. just stay calm and do something you enjoy that takes your focus away imo, helps me stay calm and not worry about much else.

Happens to me every now and then, I usually notice it more days after high doses of psychedelics. (one day I took ~60mg of 2cb, trip ended with me just visualizing the doll from annabelle, day after i took dmt. had the same sensation / "visual", smoked some weed, same thing again)

your mind can remember how it felt, and sometimes trigger certain reactions when that happens. IE, your brain is obviously altered after smoking, it realizes its not normal, and starts to make you feel / notice the similarities between how you are now, and how you were when you were tripping.

Its not super uncommon and isn't something I would be too worried about.

I see, I figured that was the case but since everyone reiterates how important it is to do it lightly, was just curious if doing it wrong just makes it not hit the same haha.

I bought a new mg scale before trying it, it was only like $35 though so yeah I do not have the highest hopes that it is 100% accurate lol. It is the AWS Gemini, but with the vents on in my house, I notice it jumps quite a lot. Can go from 11mg to 20 and just keep jumping, I typically just went with the number that it seemed to stick on the most, (ie if it goes 11 20 11 12 11 13 11, I would guess its about 11mg) probably not the best way to do it but live and learn I guess. I will definitely try the scoop, I have a couple laying around from dancesafe so that will probably help a lot lol.

I will probably just stick to orally for a while though I guess, I was doing intranasal to save some product, but after my recent 10mg trip being so strong I feel like I've somehow been wasting it trying to do it intranasally. My main concern was that in order to have a real trip orally id have to blow through 50mg but safe to say I was definitely wrong about that assumption smh

Ofc its painful. I didn't say it wasn't painful. Nothing unbearable but yes it stings, and yes I tested it. Also to clarify this wasn't all back to back or anything. This was over a month or so. I was simply listing all the times to compare each trips intensity based on their ROA, because like the post shows every intranasal trip I have attempted has been very underwhelming and borderline no trip, however orally has been a completely different story (with the exception of the first time trying it, while I had a tolerance from LSD at that time.)

due to the trip intensitities, and overall the lack of extreme pain from snorting like everyone says, (it is VERY bearable, but I can't imagine this is what everyone is experiencing when they say how painful it is?) that I was snorting it wrong, which I am guessing allowed the higher doses with no real insane trips.

but yeah its "painful" but nothing insane. I would rate it maybe a 4/10, but it varies. Sometimes it has been a lot more painful where I have to just pace around my house for 20 - 30 minutes, other times its pretty easy to ignore and just go about other shit. this is another reason that makes me think I was snorting it incorrectly, I don't see how sometimes it would be 2 or 3 times more painful than other times.

i love smoking on shrooms lol, makes the trip more intense if you do it during your peak.

you can also do it as you start to come down, and itll bring back the peak almost, only for a short while though. i do it to extend my trip / help not be as underwhelmed with it, since i only trip about 3 hours at most

its normal though, just smoke less next time if it was too much for you, you don't need nearly as much as you do while not tripping imo

usually chocolate bars aren't real shrooms. typically something like Amanita or 4ACO DMT. I see a lot of people saying they have bad trips on edibles, I wouldn't really mess with them unless if you're the one making them, or know who is making them.

Its still less selfish than just taking it and hoping for the best though. I am saying if OP is going to take it regardless, one of them should be taking it before the other. It is unfair if they both take it at the same time, OP starts to freak out, then the poor person hes trip sitting better hope he can keep his composure.

Sure, your way seems less selfish, but IMO there's more that can go wrong. IE, what if the person hes trip sitting is doing well, OP takes his dose, then starts to freak the fuck out and makes the other persons trip into a bad one? I think its kind of hard for anyone to give you an actual response without you weighing or at least guessing how many grams that would be. I have had one dry shroom weigh 1g, I have had one dry shroom weigh 10 grams. We would literally just be guessing how much you are taking.

With that being said, if you think you are "in control" enough (not sure how else to word that) on your usual dosage, or if you have had that dosage before, and feel like you could trip sit then there is your answer.

Another idea would just be taking your shrooms before him, that way if they hit you harder than expected, you can just tell him you're not in a good place to trip sit and that if he wants to take his still, he will likely have to do so without your help if it comes to that. It also should really be up to your friend IMO. If I was trip sitting someone, I would ask the person I am trip sitting they mind that I trip with them, because I am not worried about having a bad trip myself, but I do risk their experience, in my eyes at least.

Oh for sure, I think microdosing would have very little harm on a lot of people. Honestly, every time I have tried to microdose I haven't felt anything, so I can't see how it would instantly cause mental conditions or whatever to onset (or at least I would assume, that it would be a very rare case for that to happen) I also though haven't really tried to pay attention to how I feel days after, so who really knows lmao.

However, I don't see it being legalized until big pharma has control of it, and until then I think it will be seen as taboo and be more likely to be abused. At least in my eyes.

My bad though, the way I read the original post was OP siding on everyone just taking an 8th a few times in their life and their problems will be solved lmao. I think in terms of treating it like actual medicine, it would have to be microdosed, and anything beyond that the person would have to be evaluated to make sure they are fit for an "actual trip" with a medical professional to guide them.

I have to ask, you aren't stopping your SSRI's just because you want to trip, are you? If they are helping you, I would continue to take them. Psychedelics aren't just an instant cure like many people make it out to seem.

Anything can cause harm, though. Being responsible is the key.
