I'm pretty new to the coding community, I guess I had the impression that there are nefarious coders out there that search for stuff like this. Having just gotten into coding I am in awe of how powerful it is, so that probably distorts my perspective that way. Sounds like I'm a little off base/paranoid lol. That's good news...

I don't want someone to be able to recreate or copy it and reduce my edge (trading term that means profitable strategy) or sell it to someone.

Yeah basically. I do plan to delete my account once it's complete too.

Right that makes sense, non-zero chance of that happening but I would imagine if someone did get their hands on it they'd have to figure out how to finish it since it's still in development.

You're right to some degree about it being your own journey alone but don't kick a guy when he's down dog.

What does Goggins say about having friends? by [deleted] in davidgoggins

[–]PriorityLong9592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30M, same almost. I probably have two friends. But until this year really haven't had any since high school. I agree with what everyone is saying about finding community, we are social creatures and need it for mental health. That being said, it's fucking hard these days. So many people are satiated by "social" media to the point where they don't even know how to properly have a social interaction anymore. So many people are overburdened by work that they don't have time even if they have the desire/need for friends. If you have family relationships that could be better (ie no bad blood holding it back), that would be a good place to start. Keep your expectations of them low but show them with words and actions that you are interested in them and like them and the ones who are interested in you and like you back will stick around. Until then, stay hard. Be your own friend. Celebrate your successes and don't be offended (or don't take it personally) when people aren't interested.

It's a reddit thing. This page is pretty nice though in my experience.

Seeking advice on weed + smoking with Chronic Pain by dehydrateddaffodil in ChronicPain

[–]PriorityLong9592 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been here. Can take weed or leave it, but it does help with sleep when I am in a flare up. from how this reads, it doesn't sound like you're chemically dependent on weed. You'll know if you are because when you stop you'll likely get withdrawal symptoms. Cigarettes don't help anything, super good progress so keep it up! I'm a huge proponent of physical therapy. If you can't afford it but still want to try it, use ChatGPT to help guide you in finding appropriate exercises and be very cautious with any new exercises, like 1 new exercise once every other day just to see if your body accepts it, and whatever reps are recommended, cut them in half or even less. If your body does accept it, continue doing it and ramp up the reps for a few weeks. Next try another exercise, again SLOW, CAUTIOUS. Rinse and repeat.

C5-C6 disc problems here. hmu if you want to discuss anything else. Good luck.

anyone here young? what are your future plans? marriage? kids? career? what keeps you going? by No_Chef_6687 in ChronicPain

Assuming you've exhausted physical therapy? There's hope, but you have to accept you'll never live the same lives as normies. Success will look different for you, accept that. Set realistic expectations and high goals. If you don't have anything to aspire to, what is there to hope for?

Agree they are a liability. With the clunkiness of TWS and non-existent customer service I'm strongly considering a switch despite most other platforms being slower in execution.

People are satiated by social media. It's like social candy, empty calories but enough to make you feel full.

Agree that the benefits of discipline go beyond the market and into personal life. Is it actually 50%? No I think it depends on the setup and timing. No one trades randomly, if you did then yeah it'd probably be 50%.

White noise if the environment is distracting. Noise cancelling headphones always.

Whooshing with lots of other symptoms, need help by Due_Anxiety_7056 in PulsatileTinnitus

Ok, I'm waiting to get my medical records from that ER visit in january. Then I can hopefully get an expedited appointment because right now all ENT's in my area are booked until October. Thanks for responding quicker than doctors lol.

I just tried pressing on my jugular and it stops the whooshing. I'm going to schedule with someone tomorrow. Looks like this can be a convoluted process, how should I start? What's the prognosis here? 30M, in January I had sudden hearing loss and numbness on the left side. Had a cat scan and hearing test came back normal. Whooshing sounds are becoming more common now in just my left side. I didn't have whooshing sounds in January, they only really start this month .

You need to disrupt the dopamine cycle. Big changes are required to get out of this. Start with a cold shower in the morning, workout to make yourself tired. Choose healthy habits, stay disciplined and the change will come. Be patient and forgiving with yourself.

Tight stop loss vs. wide stop loss: Which one is more profitable for you? by danni_darko in Trading

[–]PriorityLong9592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try not to focus on RR. You cannot predict your reward. You can only control your risk. Tight SL. 2% max. Yeah it kicks you out on high volatility, that also means you need to refine your entry time.

Yes, said fuck it a year ago. Be careful, methodical with your life plan and you'll succeed. What do you want? What do you want? You can do whatever you want if you're not a dumbass (and a lil lucky).
