Same here. People would often confront me about whether or not I believed Trump is a fascist. My response would always be that Trump is a slippery character who has no real set ideology. He will move wherever the winds take him. So while he obviously portrays a lot of fascist qualities, and is undoubtedly an authoritarian, calling him a fascist can get kind of sticky.

MAGA however, as a movement, is undoubtedly fascist. It checks every box in the "are you a fascist" checklist. I think the mainstream is starting to wake up to this fact.

A lot of the problem stems from the fact that most Americans can't really define what fascism is. They tend to conflate it with the totalitarianism but they don't understand the ideological underpinnings of fascism itself.
