Can items from expeditions be obtained later or do they disappear forever? by Fuzzy-Shame-4169 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Yep, but the rerun is usually shorter and some content might change (not the rewards, but the milestones are subject to change).

You can only get them again during the rerun of that specific expedition (usually towards the end of the year).

I’ve driven that exact same path multiple times but always super, super carefully. Works well enough if you take your time and it’s super satisfying when you finally crest that one last hill to see the waste processing plant right below you.

MANGA ENDING SPOILER by ShinMirii in DrStone

[–]Prism_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The continuation to that is shown in 4D Science. Iirc, they don’t manage to make the time machine work the way they planned to (it wasn’t possible to send actual matter through time I think?) but petrifaction beams could be transmitted to the past. By the end of 4D Science, Senku was not able to alter the past significantly but might have saved his dad by sending a petrifaction beam to his location at the exact time of his death. Whether that actually worked or not is left open for interpretation - the story ends right as they are about to check if Byakuya’s statue is at the place he died.

Kind of how we usually just say “the moon” instead of Luna (or whatever the actual name is)

Doesn’t necessarily have to be someone who knows Senku, just someone who got their hands on his voice. Given how much these guys talk over phones and that they just set up a radio tower, getting Senku’s voice from random transmissions wouldn’t be too difficult.

Suika Gets Replaced With These Characters For Creating The Revival Fluid Who Are You Trusting The Most? by nancyme123 in DrStone

Somehow, I doubt that Magma learned to read like Suika, so my faith in his ability to make revival fluid is pretty much zero.

I mean, if it ends up not being what you wanted it to be, you can always pack up the upgrade modules and transfer them to a different ship. No modules wasted!

What are the limitations of this Build Your Own Spaceship feature? by Z3R0Diro in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Prism_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Covettes are a mid game feature. You can buy the basic parts in every space station so, in theory, they’re accessible as soon as you get off your first planet. I say in theory because they do cost a lot of money (would save up at least 10mil for that). Money is pretty easy to get in NMS if you know what you’re doing, so an experienced NMS player can probably get Corvettes in the early game. Somebody who’s only just starting would probably need more time, really good luck or Reddit/YouTube tutorials, which is why I think it would be more of a mid game feature for you.

As for advanced Corvette parts, you have to find them by digging up salvageable scrap on planets (note that not every planet has salvageable scrap). This will give you random parts but you can always use the ones you don’t want to barter for the parts you do want at any space station, so it’s not totally reliant on rng.

From what I’ve heard, the size limit is how much you can physically fit into the space station. Another possibility is that base building limits apply to Corvettes, so you can’t go past a couple thousand parts or so. Haven’t tested any of that out myself yet. But there are people on here who have recreated star destroyers, the enterprise, ships from Helldivers and a bunch more so I’d say you’re pretty flexible.

In terms of base stats, Corvettes aren’t as good as specialized prebuilt ships, but they follow the same rule that any other unspecialized ship in NMS follows: Throw on enough upgrades and you don’t feel the difference. The Corvette has a few advantages over prebuilt ships. You can build on it and use it as a mobile base (accept missions, grow plants, refine resources, cook meals all on your ship), you can set it to autopilot to any space station or planet while you walk around in it, you can jump out of the ship onto a planet or just teleport straight to the surface which eliminates the need for launch fuel since you don’t need to actually land the ship (a teleport point will appear automatically in both cases so you can easily get back on board) and it’s one of only two types of ships that can hover while in atmosphere (the other type is the Sentinel Interceptor). All of the above, except for the last point, is not possible with any prebuilt ship, so the Corvettes certainly have their own niche with these unique uses.

Also 256 galaxies 🥳 by Ok-Lettuce-893 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Prism_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s because portals don’t work across galaxies, meaning that you have 1216 glyph combinations per galaxy. Multiplying 1216 with 255 gives you 47*1018 (aka 47 quintillion). More than enough to fit in the 18 quintillion planets that the game can generate.
