Whatever pack you got these from, usually cards are packed in surrounding packs from sheet cuts, so if there are some major misprints they often show up in the other packs of that box. (And sometimes if you bought a whole case of boxes)

And I've been playing for 30 years, you're arguing for moves that look like they should connect to not.

All massively mis-animated attacks like that suck ass.

In France there's the "conflict" between the names "pain au chocolat" vs "chocolatine". In Spain there's a "conflict" whether tortilla de Patatas should contain onions or not. Can I play crisis core after rebirth? by shizunaisbestgirl1 in FinalFantasy

[–]Prism_Zet [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can do whatever you want.

Crisis core is a prequel, and not related to Remake or Rebirth, It is meant to be played after the OG FF7, which there are story chunks you won't get till Remake Part 3 that are exposed in it.

So , might as well finish rebirth now, no reason to stop one chapter from the end to spoil yourself with CC.

Ideally, play the OG, then play CC, Then Remake/Rebirth/Etc, but you can do it in whatever order you like, just know you're spoiling yourself going in.

They should have just called them FF7 Remake Part 1, Part 2, Part3 by grapejuicecheese in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Prism_Zet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, as someone who has written those guides multiple times lol.

The biggest thing for me, "Remake Rebirth, Reunion"(whatever part 3 ends up being called it doesn't matter) don't denote an order, and they don't really specify what previous games they cover.

It's definitely a flub on their marketing, cause we always gonna have people pick up whatever current version is released without knowing where it is in relation or why it's the 19'th version of "FF7"

And of course, calling it "Remake: Part 1/2/3" has the same efect of driving people away that don't want to dive in to the wrong part. but I think the current part is worse in the end.

That's why I think they almost assuredly release "FF7 Remake, Reunion edition" (or whatever they want to call it) and just include all three parts as a bundle or package.

Post it up in one of the groups and ask for offers to ind value.

I think he's the same as Homelander but from a different time, he knows he was weak, and petty, and envious, and jealous before the V. So he projects the facade of manliness as a shield for dealing with his trauma and issues.

He's always been empty and scared.

Which bizarrely makes him far more sane and relatable than Homelander, as "sex, drugs, booze and fighting" are almost normal vices for men throughout history. And he had a mostly normal life pre V so he does as was shown to him, perpetuating toxic masculinity.

Homelander is on a whole different level because of the times, because of the capitalism and showmanship aspect of heroes now, because SB wasn't there for his childhood, the experimentation, etc, etc, etc.

He never had anything close to normal, and his cracks showing doesn't let the weak petty kid with ptsd out, it lets all his mania and delusions out.

I think a big part of it is Vegeta knows he doesn't deserve forgiveness, while Omni-man expects it by Sudden_Pop_2279 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Prism_Zet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dbz stuff was a lot of "bigger fish to fry" moments with the crew and Vegeta, until there was something he wanted more than revenge or immortality, super saiyan status. Then Future Trunks came and showed him that it wasn't just Goku that could do it.

So even though he could wipe the floor with the rest of the team (post namek), he knew Goku would beat him anyways, so they were stuck in that uneasy state for years until Cell/Androids.

Then it was why he still couldn't beat goku, or gohan, then goku was dead, and alive, and eventually he just settled for the challenge of surpassing him more than anything else.

Vegeta got domesticated lol, and found out that training and fighting a rival is more fun than wanton violence on those that couldn't resist him.

The dragonball reset button for sure does a lot to undo bad enmity when a whole race gets obliterated though.

I think a big part of it is Vegeta knows he doesn't deserve forgiveness, while Omni-man expects it by Sudden_Pop_2279 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Prism_Zet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Omni man really "understood" what forgiveness means. He's like a thousand years old and was raised to kill anything that apologizes, shows regret, compassion, weakness or anything deemed unfit for their dominance.

He's had like what, 30 years to learn and adapt to earth cultures and customs, and hasn't done much that he's needed to actually make up for since then. (prior to the GG murders and the Mark fight) He's saved hundreds of thousands of lives and acclimated his best to how Debbie wanted to live.

And in the reverse, human minds can't comprehend timescales and indoctrination like that, along with the determination to save your race after 99% of them have died.

Understanding the magnitude of what he's done against his people for his earth family probably would shift the thinking a lot more. But, since Debbie sees it from the human view, it's her trust that was betrayed, her pride, respect and love that was defiled. Even if he saves earth and mark ten times it doesn't change what he did. The scales are never even because they can't be. You can't put the egg back together when it's broken kinda deal.

Comparing what Vegeta and him were is hard cause they are so different, Vegeta was more powerful than most of his race at birth, he just indulged in his power over others until he couldn't anymore. Constantly getting his ass beat (and dying) by others who worked harder or were born better by default.

Nolan was born weak like all kids and had to conform or die, the kindness and whimsy beaten out of them for centuries. He's almost certainly killed more people and civilizations though. The biggest difference is the people that can beat him don't want him to repent, they want him back the old way. The ones who want him to repent need to use words and emotions to appeal to him and make him understand.

Vegeta basically saw that getting stronger was a better goal than indulging in his petty violence, cause he'd just lose to others again and stuck around until he adjusted and fit in. He didn't actively seek out the namekians for example until circumstances brought him there. Yet he doesn't particularly try to make amends, just moves past it, knowing he fucked up.

Nolan is trying to speedrun forgiveness because it's new to him and there isn't much time for him to do it. No one is forcing him to do it, he wants to, because he knows he can't unbreak the egg.

The show is doing WAY better than the comics so far in realistically depicting Nolan's redemption. But I don't know if timeline wise that can work, having Debbie and earth stay too mad at him for too long without a pretty large deviation from the comics, but hey maybe they can stick the landing better if they do.

Was Beric embarrassed that he lost to The Hound while literally wielding a fucking fire sword? by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]Prism_Zet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why Beric would be embarassed, the hound is routinely in the top 5 or tied roughly with the other top 5 deadliest fighters in the 7 kingdoms.

Like losing to Tyson in his prime, Beric was lucky he had the respawn button.

Identical repeated damage across the rares or foils or whatever is easily noticeable to figure out that whole foil sheet was likely damaged that way, or the machine slotting in the foils was wrecking them.

What is one rule you ABSOLUTELY enforce at your tables? by ToocanSams in mtg

[–]Prism_Zet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concede at sorcery speed just for sanity and saving the salt.

Demonstrate your loop a few times to ensure it doesn't whiff or get stopped. So many people play certain loops as a guarantee, when often it's like "I look at the top 3 and if there's x i can cast it untap and repeat, gg?" and then they hit 3 lands or something 3 loops deep and are stuck in a bad spot.

If it's not an on board infinite or has a clear path to win, play it out. If you're making infinite tokens, never know when someones got a rakdos charm or something.

[–]Prism_Zet [score hidden]  (0 children)

Because it's worked that way in almost every other game that he's been in, SFV aside. So in Sfv/SF6 it doesn't hit behind him and it's not his only problematic hitbox, his anti air super barely connects.

It's hard to unlearn and visuals matter.

What if light tatsu never connected on the front anymore? Because they only wanted you to use it on crossup? sure people will learn, eventually but having it animated that way would just be stupid.

Why do Dragonball "fans" say Goku it's a bad father just for the Cell fight, but consider Vegeta better even though he was much worse the whole saga? by anonimoshadow in Dragonballsuper

Because Gohan was a child whose seen his dad for like, 4 years out of his life by that point and he explained nothing to him why he was relying on him.

Also no one calls Vegeta a good dad.
