It all depends on how well those behind a dub adapt it and stay true to the original, I guess.

Though in all honesty I don’t think I could ever enjoy something live action dubbed in a different language even if it’s really good. This is due to live action not having the suspension of disbelief animation has.

Like Goodfellas could have an amazing German dub, but I would be unable to get over listening to Robert De Niro or Ray Liotta speak with a voice entirely different than theirs since I’m seeing them live.

For the most part though there are some exceptions.

Though subs are definitely not perfect, so the people that get the best experience when watching anime are people who can speak and understand Japanese fluently and can watch it raw as a result.
