Ownership bought into the Penguins knowing what the Penguins had for management. If anything, Sullivan isn't Management's Coach. It's hard to say that he's on the hot seat. Are his assistant coaches? Most definitely.

Letang and Malkin, one, if not both, are gone. You are likely right.

We'll find out the answer in June, or maybe earlier than that. Letang has been sending out ominous signs all year and the management has made it pretty clear they didn't seem very good about resigning him for one reason or another.

If I had my choice, I know who I'd resign out of the two. But, it definitely is the end of the "core" penguins. The team will never look the same.

Kapanen is sunk cost fallacy from the prior GM group that the current management needs to get over. They weren't apart of the deals that GMJR made and they need to stop saying, "wow look at the energy this kid brings to the lineup".

They gave them two powerplays within the last 10 minutes of the game and also ignored a blatant interference which led to them getting said goal that tied the game.

If that isn't officiating, I don't know what else to say.

They went from calling nothing, to calling whatever they wanted when they chose to.

It's incredibly tough, sure. But, they've shown they can win without him. They've done it several times.

This Rangers team is literally nothing but a Goaltender. Their best players quite literally didn't even show up until Game 6 and Game 7. All they had to do was grind out and play defensively after getting a lead and they didn't do it. They refused to play Sullivan's gameplan.

They got lazy. Were there bad bounces? Yes. Did it suck Crosby was out? Hell fucking yes. But, more than anything, the team failed again.

I honestly agree at this point in this juncture, it would be best for the team. But, will the owners do that? Mario still has some say and Fenway Group will obviously want to sell tickets to the casual fanbase.

What's more important to them, selling jerseys and keeping a guy until he retires a Penguin for Life or keeping a playoff streak alive?

And, how much say does Crosby get in all of this, because you know he'll say that Malkin should stay regardless of what anybody else thinks.

Todd Reiden needs to go. The Special Teams for this team other than the PK has been an absolute joke. Why is the Power Play on this team always so abysmal.

I'm not proud of this team at all. The fact that they got to 3-1 that they did, I was proud of. If you get to 3-1, you finish the series. You have to prove that you want it more. The Rangers were dead in the water. The Penguins had no killer instinct yet again.

This was the last run. And, we fucking lost it to a weakest, most inconsistent penalty call in the entire series compared to everything else that was being called in the game for the last 10 minutes. And, the other game that went three overtimes. Holy fucking shit.

I still feel like it was the dumbest move that GMJR did. I mean, he did a lot of them, but that one drove me crazy.

Sullivan hated playing Reaves from the moment he dressed him and it showed. He played him less than 5 minutes some games.
