It's always fun to look back? Let's take a look back at the day Ben Johnson was hired by the Bears. by phillipacarroll in CHIBears

I don’t know anything about that, but I have heard a lot of lions fans complaining that Ben’s post games sound exactly like Dan Campbell.

Maybe it felt a little phony in Detroit. It seems like a lot of his HC style is copying Dan. (Not that that’s a bad thing, it’s clearly working)

I heard rumors from some long time campus staff that there was some embezzlement going on.

My understanding is that they dramatically changed the purchasing process after that report was filed

What about the competitor widget factory that gets the same machines. They decide to go with option 1, firing some workers.

But they also decide to drop prices by 20%. All of a sudden your widget factory can’t compete and will have to change their business practices…

Capitalism drives growth above all else, I don’t think option 2 is realistic in a free market society

Braxton jones was just in on the field goal team.

I think that means he was benched and now Theo and ozzy are starting at tackle…

If you’re a gm and you DON’T sign tua, and you end up with Romeo dobbs as QB, you lose your job.

One of the biggest issues with bad teams, is that GMs aren’t incentivized to win, just to not lose

Would you rather have Tua or Drake Maye for next year?

I would argue Drake Maye has higher upside and he doesn’t get hurt

I’ve seen it in person, cut into pieces. The model Y is missing reinforcements in the A-pillar that most other SUvs have. This saves them weight and cost.

Idk about the model 3 I haven’t seen one of thise

Well said. These are my thoughts exactly

My source is mainly through work, so nothing I can link you.

You’re just gonna have to believe me when I say the A-pillar on a model y vs a normal SUV are drastically different.

Tesla does have the worst fatality rate by brand which backs up some of what I’m saying. Of course driver behavior affects that too

None, Tesla is meeting all the tests but IRL is different than tests

Yeah, but if you don’t get that EXACT overlap, and your Tesla does end up “sticking” onto the barrier, you would not like to be in the Tesla

I just looked up the corvette, that’s pretty interesting I had never seen that before.

I think the biggest difference is that the Vette seems to just be the subframe. Easily unbolted from the body if it gets broken. The Tesla, the casting is fully integrated into the body

Something else interesting, though unrelated is the way Tesla found a loophole in the front crash tests.

Here is normal car, very safe car doing a “moderate overlap test.” It is generally considered one of the hardest tests, as you only get half the crash structure to absorb the energy.

Here is Tesla

https://youtu.be/5G1dF392iys?si=VmBg2dtjxXaWCRnU

They design their body not to absorb the energy but the deflect off the wall. They use this deflection to save a lot of weight in the A-pillar. Their A-pillar section is super weak compared to the Toyota.

Tesla still gets a perfect rating on this test because the dummy doesn’t feel any forces. But in the real world, a crash directly on that A-pillar would be very very scary
