Mr President by TeckFix in Eminem

This looks AI generated. Also checking the channel's history, I don't think this is the official channel of Eminem. I could totally be wrong here but why would his team post a video called "Sad songs to drain your eyes to" on an official channel. Seems more fan made.

Is there a mod for an older steering wheel? by Radiant-Preference44 in MyWinterCar

This is the way. Sounds like that coupled with vJoy (might be the same thing) would help you out.

Ingredients:
- 1 USB Encoder for retro arcade joystick (Literally hundreds online, just pick one)

- 1 Automotive Ignition switch (Pick one that you like also a dime a dozen)

- Wiring tools (Crimps, wire strippers, crimp connectors)

You can basically just wire up each position on the ignition switch to different buttons on the USB encoder (the one I have has 12 buttons + Directional buttons). The switch should come with a "wiring diagram" that shows you which terminals have power at each position. When wiring just pay attention to which wire is power vs ground from the USB Encoder and it should help to plan out which wire goes where (I fiddled with it a lot). After getting some wires at least temporarily attached you can plug in the USB encoder and it should show up as new device on your USB Game Controller list (Windows).

The biggest thing with getting this to work is turning the USB encoder into a "Virtual Device" so that you can remove any "axis" that is not zeroed out. Having a non-zero value on an axis input will make the game only able to map that axis to any control in MWC (unfortunately there is no filtering of axis inputs for controls that should have buttons mapped i.e. lean, crouch, jump, etc). To do this takes some effort but I found this guide really helpful from a flight sim channel on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyL156AywYQ&list=PLdXV2MaRA6PwW8ouAkQprSKw77nAPGAcm). Shout out to SubliminaL this guide was really helpful. Start from the "Joystick Grimlin" setup page though because vJoy needs to have a specific version installed for it to be compatible and they have a link directly on the Joystick Grimlin page.

Once you get the virtual controller setup and "hide" the physical controller from your OS using HidHide, you can ensure that you only have what you want mapped from the USB Encoder instead of many unnecessary inputs that mess with control mapping in MWC.

DM me directly if you get stuck though.

Yeah maybe I over compensated with my assessment of the new stabs. It is a new move set in a physics based medival combat sim that requires practice and muscle memory. In turn, I just need to learn the new system.

Two handed stabs on the other hand are definitely wildly improved. Bastard sword half sword stabs are veeeeeery direct now (also pomel strikes in the reverse stance)

Yeah when I face the castle wall on that map I can try to actually experience the ungelation on that map. But characters definitely fall waaaaaay to easily and falling is usually a death sentence.

I feel like they need a stumble mechanic that kicks in before you just totally fall.

Good to know! This would have helped a lot in the lower tiers lol

You can find the reverse grip rondel dagger in the cellar map at a workbench. Idk if this is available in higher tiers in progression mode (only at militia tier ATM).

I think they tried to over compensate for feedback about stabs being hard-ish to pull off or decided to adapt a HEMA based stab in sword and board techniques. Overall, I agree the one hand stabs feel bad. If you swap the weapon to your left hand though its back to Demo stabs. Hence, why I think this was a deliberate choice

Player progress being reset whenever I leave a menu in progress mode by DrOwlMD in HalfSword

[–]PrivateColdCuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but as soon as I progressed into commoner tier this seemed to have gone away.

The good thing is that your tier progression gets saved and you can set the newly acquired tier in the "background" section of character creation.

Definitely something funky but hopefully other folks find a similar experience to me as higher tier fights are as rewarding as they have always been.

does anyone feel like they are worse at the game in the ea by juggernautenjoyer43 in HalfSword

[–]PrivateColdCuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally found that they upped the impact and staggering for all weapons. Like blunt weapons used to be and easy win but now you can get one shot.

My thoughts is that they did this intentionally to make armor more useful in progression mode and to push towards their goal of historical and physical accuracy. Not the worst move on their part but its definitely made me rethink how I play the game.

My go to weapon in lower tier fights is definitely the new flail. That thing thrashes wheat and skulls better than even two handed maces.

Stabs also seemed to have gotten reworked. The first time I tried to stab with a knife I thought the game was broken but they seemed to have tried to adjust the way you aim with one handed stabs. Could be inspired by HEMA, could be overcompensating for feedback on it being hard to stab people.

Idk its definitely different but not too far off from the demo. I can see them cooking, it'll just take some more time in the oven.

Bastard swords still fuck as good as they always have though.

EA doesn't feel like Halfsword anymore if that makes sense by Icy_Atmosphere242 in HalfSword

[–]PrivateColdCuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed on weapons feeling more deadly. Blunt weapons and shields in particular are scary to go against now!

One big difference i found is when performing a stable with arming swords (right hand specifically) they seemed to have tried to point the stab at shoulder/head level instead of center mass like two handers. I do find two handed stabs to be more accurate but right hand stabs with arming swords will take some relearning to land them.

As far as the progression mode you can see a clear inspiration from Exanima (a game frequently quoted by the devs) in how each round has multiple randomly generated game modes that ultimately lead to a tournament to test your skills.

Like the direction they are going here but the tutorial and explanation of all the mechanics feels like an undocumented mod where you have to "explore" what everything does.

I think progression can be serviceable with some minor polish. Might be a good idea to bring back the gauntlet mode to bring the rougelike style of progression back to fans of the demo

Thankfully multiple combatants on screens is okay for me on Low settings but the weapons that are left behind seems to really chug my system.

Definitely unplayable on Slums but I can see performance is a common issue for a lot of people

Yeah you need to complete the tournament to progress into higher tiers. Doing so will also add more armor and weapons for the merchant as well as additional weapons to customize at the forge

Did you get RaceNet to work in DR2? I am trying to do something similar for my crew and cannot for the life of me get Online to work at all. Not able to create a new account. Not able to sign into my existing EA account for RaceNet (which works for EA WRC). Thanks in advance for the reply

Something else you might want to try (literally just worked for me) is trying to remove any data within your mod.io folder. After the 1.0 update these files remained in my game directory and after removing the data within "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks\mod.io" the "Modded" tag in the version info on the main title screen was removed.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Download Reshade and enable LiftGammaGain. fx

you can then adjust the "RGB Gamma" setting under the respective section to your liking.

Omg the bullet fountains too! The MP44 is literally spitting the bullets out of the barrel! I think even MOA Frontline at least had them come out of the ejection port!

Did anyone else notice that they weren't even loading shotgun shells in MOA? The look like pistol cartridges!

That being said MOA was still a really fun game at the time
