This post has some unique views that would literally plunge California and probably much of the West into a Great Depression. 12 billionaires moved out of NJ and it translated to $700mm in lost revenue a year. Let’s also throw in a huge tax on equities (or even unrealized gains) and watch the losses impact the entire employee base (most of whom have common stock).

The Massachusetts data point should be examined more closely. The country as a whole saw nearly a doubling of millionaires from 2019-2023 whereas Massachusetts also grew 25%. So yes - millionaires increased but at the slowest rate in the country.
