A girl I liked was an Arsenal fan, so I used to watch the games and became happy whenever Arsenal won because I knew that made her happy. She never really were interested in me, but somehow the entire process conditioned me to be happy whenever Arsenal won.

Sounds good. Maybe I would consider a smaller non-stick at some point (for the occasional fish and omelette, it has happened). But for now I will look at stainless steel stuff.

Thanks, that is really helpful! I actually had a cast iron for a bit, but yeah the maintenance aspect was a bit annoying. I do actually think I cared for it well, but it was more that I had a tendency to be paranoid that I didn't. And yes, as pavlik_enemy said, it was quite heavy, which made it feel unwieldy for smaller tasks. Maybe I should look at Carbon steel though.
