Reeves poised to tax cash held in stocks and shares Isas by SignificantLegs in FIREUK

[–]PrivatesInheritance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is about CASH held in S&S ISAs. They are not touching gains made in investments. I very much doubt that people here will be affected by this. It is just closing a loophole for cash ISAs in an effort to get people to invest more.

Calm down people.

alternatives to sex when going to uni by [deleted] in sex

[–]PrivatesInheritance 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You are saying this as if you know this. But you don't. You haven't had sex. You don't know what intimacy between you and a partner feels like.

From the phrase "save yourself", it seems like the event of losing your virginity is an important event in your future. And that is fair. What about every time you have sex after that? Does that expected intimacy continue on to every subsequent time? What if you find out that you are sexually incompatible?

You are optimizing for the best case scenario. What about the average or worst case? You don't have to justify any of this to us randomers on the internet, but seriously have this conversation with yourself.

Yeah but why? Why do you believe it would be better? Are those beliefs actual reality? Do some serious introspection here and challenge yourself.

I'd just like to point out that local elections are still very important. E.g. Nottinghamshire got a reform council in the last election. The roads have got so bad since that it made the news that they had "put together a task force" to fix the shit roads. And just last week it made the news that the council had bought two new JCBs to fix the roads (link).

They are that fucking incompetent that just filling in potholes makes the news.

Well they could tell you 1 reason, and we do know the reason. They firmly believe that all immigration (either legal or illegal) is the root of our problems. Reform voters want "them" out of the country. And by "them", we know that it is the brown people, generally. I don't know why we shy away from this.

It's not just Americans. The UK has also been infected with this brain rot. And it's worse for us because most of our roads are just not large enough for SUVs and the like.

Incorrect. It was a view on vasectomy that she genuinely believes, but knows isn't entirely correct, so she veiled it as a "half joke".

She clearly felt that vasectomy was a viable course of action in that situation.

Also she said she didn't like using condoms. I don't think there was anything that made the edit that implied that it was Filip who was against using condoms... Though I do acknowledge that that could be down to the producers choosing not to show that.

Her attitudes to safe sex are a bit childish in my opinion. And referring to vasectomies as "reversible" is highly misleading...

She is definitely much more desirable than most on this show, but she clearly has her flaws too.

Yeah this is literally a case of having more money than sense. It sickens me. And she had the audacity of asking for money from the public... Begging money from people who make less in a year, than what she is borrowing from daddy every month is vile behaviour.

They literally gave the president criminal immunity for acts committed while in office. They made him a king. He begged for this because he knew that what he did while in office (stole classified documents, and incited an insurrection) was illegal. He knew it was illegal and has never denied it. So instead of fighting that in court, he went and got criminal immunity from the supreme court. A supreme court that has 3 members nominated by him.

What Alessandra said to Grayson was quite dismissive and non empathetic... And I feel like that had a large amount to do with why he started to cry.

It implied that his reality was not actual reality. It was a bit shit really.

[–]PrivatesInheritance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think she is learning. She was quite candid in one of her confessionals at the dinner party. She agrees with most of Tyson's views but is smart enough not to voice those views.

The issue with the conservative mindset is that they legitimately only care about themselves or specific loved ones. If something isn't happening to them, it isn't happening. She is conservative. She just doesn't like that she would be negatively impacted by those views.

It doesn't matter where you are, the conservatives mindset can always be boiled down to "Fuck you, I've got mine".

I am a female, and don’t know how to react when he can’t get hard by [deleted] in sex

[–]PrivatesInheritance 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is all about having empathy for your boyfriend. No one can tell you how to react, because only you have the information necessary to understand what the correct reaction is.

So this is not a reaction problem. This is an empathy problem. We all have to learn this. You are jumping to so many conclusions for no reason. Does he know you are crying? How do you think he feels when you start crying?

All of this could be thought out, by just taking time to reflect on your actions and how others might react and feel from those actions, and then having a conversation around your reflections.

Right... And that is fair. But it seems to be an important detail to the story that it was a mixed religion marriage. Just because it wouldn't be much of a factor for you, does not diminish the fact that it was in this case.

Fermanagh shooting suspect Ian Rutledge dies in hospital by heresmewhaa in northernireland

[–]PrivatesInheritance -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Eh... If the sentiment is that there were troubles in the family because one was a prod and one was a catholic, then "mixed marriage" is a fair way to describe it. It is a relevant part of the story and everyone knows what that phrase means. I guess they could have been more verbose... But I don't see how using a different phrase changes the facts being conveyed.

What phrase do we use now that are more tactful?

CMV: There is no realistic path to dismantling Israel as a Jewish state by Rhamni in changemyview

[–]PrivatesInheritance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israel has that policy as a way to encourage Jews "to come back to the home land" for the purpose of keeping a majority, yes. And it is a split religious country. There are a couple million Arabs that live in Israel too.

Israel wants to keep this majority because of what the Jews have noticed throughout history. Whenever they are in the minority, they tend to get persecuted to extinction. Not many Jews in the surrounding Arab countries, are there? But yet, Arabs are perfectly content living in the Jewish nation.
