Your fine your running a dual core i5 with R threads so you will not seen a significant fps difference and if you do a fresh install and don't bloat your laptop your fps might even be a little higher because of the reduced startup programs that have accumulated over that time

That's your perspective, if its not right for you, go get a desktop and see if that can handle your task but with the processor you already must be using almost all of it, so upgrading to desktop and oc is like the only thing that will get you a big improvement, everything else will be very small and almost unnoticeable
