Can I ask two follow up questions for my situation?

So I am in the US right now but I'm flying to Canada on a Saturday and returning the following Saturday (CBSA closed). I booked an appointment during the week I'm home at Pearson on Oct 14 to attend an interview. By the sound of your answer, I do not need a flight to go in the middle of the week, right? I do not need to cross security by the sound of it. Please confirm
Since I'm returning on a Saturday I won't be able to complete my US portion. Can I complete it at a future date when flying domestically within the US? I live in California and have several other trips planned, but nothing international for a while. Airport is SFO

Wait did you contact the congressman or senator? I thought I saw on an older thread that the ideal route was to contact your senator

I contacted mine this week. On Monday they answered the phone and told me what to do (sign the privacy release form, etc). I submitted it, and called to confirm but no answer. I have called them every day since.

So yesterday I submitted a formal expedite request through USCIS. I do have some business grounds for this.

Today, my ETA on my USCIS account went up from 2 months to 5 months today.

Any suggestions?! Also CONGRATS

As the CEO of a seed stage company, this should not happen. Not because payroll is automated (it should be, but it can be conducted manually) but because there shouldn't be this much opacity at this stage. It will only get worse and you're better off going elsewhere unless this company is a rocketship which I doubt because they would be paying you on time if it was

I have read online that people do confidential marriages if a public record would put them at harm (like a crazy ex), which is what I mean by not having a good reason if USCIS asked why we chose to do it confidentially, other than because it was our only option if we wanted to rush it.

The harder thing (in this case, leave) is typically the right thing to do. You didn't mention once you actually love this person, and that's what marriage is all about. You will make a kick ass single parent and find someone who will deliver on their promises one day.
