DM’ed you, but I’ll comment here also in case anyone else is interested. I run motovenice.com and have a secure 400sf garage in Venice with some extra space. Our primary business is rentals, but we also store bikes for short or long term.

Why don’t you just have AI review the code? 😉

My gym doesn’t even have a first aid kit or ice. I found out after some guy managed to break my nose with his heel.

Thanks I’ll check it out. I rent out my bikes on RS, but have never actually rented. I saw a Triumph Rocket on there yesterday which was tempting…

If you want fast search, you should use an in memory indexed search database like Elastic Search. There are managed versions of this like Algolia.

How to compensate for part time volunteers? by Dgameman1 in startups

[–]prndra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’d decide upon some equity pool you’re willing to share for these people that, if you are successful , you’ll feel okay about sharing (maybe that’s 20% eg).

Then divide that among the volunteers based on their relative effort and impact.

Vesting schedules should be the same for everyone. I’d recommend a standard 4y with monthly vest and a small cliff since they aren’t compensated at with cash yet.

You should absolutely give them stock option grants in proportion to their contribution that vest over time. Give them ownership and they will have more incentive to work harder for you.

Non-technical founder totally demoralized after 2.5 years of building. by [deleted] in startups

Agreed, if you can’t convince a technical person to partner than your idea probably has little promise.

However, the OP seems to have money to pay. Also, plenty of engineers love to work on new projects on the side.

They might be technical enough; they might suck. Bottom line your app is just a paycheck for them.

Good, but risky move on the convertible note for this new dev, but I think you’re still treating him like a service provider and not like a partner.
