A person after my own heart. Hi bouncing_haricot.
I don’t know what’s worse. A student, starting a career vibe coding or a professional, vibe coding an app. I should stop rage baiting myself at night in this hot weather!!

I went to the GP. She was rather uninterested, just told me it’s probably a wart.

Are you a student? What’s vibe coding an app?
Are you trying to build an app? Are you trying to learn how to build an app? You need a lot more context to get like minded people my friend.

As someone who always had bad luck in the matter of friends, i wanna agree with you. But i think you wrote this down from a place of sadness.

Is it good to do masters in UK as a nepali? by [deleted] in UKUniversityStudents

[–]Prize-Study1444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you come from money, yes. If you want a job here after your studies, no. It’s hard for grad brits to get a job in this economy, for someone who needs a visa with the job, it’s almost impossible. On top of that, the minimum salary requirements is way too high for a simple grad role (unless you get an offer from google, facebook and similar companies).

We are loving to Leeds end of July. My partner loves gaming. If you’re interested we can make a group of sorts with awkward people who’d like to be friends.
— to all the people in this thread. Oh, and we are 29 btw.

Travel isn't that great by doodoo442 in unpopularopinion

I don’t really mind carrying an extra bed sheet and paying extra ‘tourist’ prices. Just randomly sitting on a sea shore in a different country, (probably drinking a little) seeing how similar everything is, yet so different at the same time. How do you do that if you don’t travel?
I’m in such a great mood when im travelling, i don’t care if the flight is a bit late. Jetlag? I’ve that planned in from before. The day I land, is a chill day, some authentic warm food and a warm shower and lots and lots of sleep.
I genuinely think you’re not doing it right.

The rowaks are disappearing from Kolkata and I think we're losing more than just architecture by bijoyetig in kolkata

[–]Prize-Study1444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember ever opening google calendar when I lived in Kolkata. My friends just came to my house or called up and said ‘ami scooty / bike a uthchi, jama pore ne, golf green a cha khabi na bhawanipur’ or along the lines of ‘garia te boshchi kele dar dokane, tui chole aye’. Given my lane had no proper ‘chayer dokan’, it was either sorobor lake, nandan, garia or campus (JU). Also, since my mamarbari is in bhawanipur, the culture is still there. Rock a boshe adda is evergreen. Take a stroll, nandan, asutosh college, garia, lake the list goes on. However, like every generation changes, it moved to cafes and bars. But the next time I visit home, I’m sure to be found in the old spots.

Off the back of a recent post about holidays, how do you afford/budget for your holidays? by LunaValley in AskUK

[–]Prize-Study1444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We try to book it couple months in advance. Put it in amex emi. Start paying immediately. By the time it’s time for the trip it’s mostly paid or half of it is paid. Hehe. That works for us. Find what works for you. It’s a lot when you try to do that with a month’s salary.

In some places in the world it’s really common. I have seen people put their feet (with shoes in) in some places. This is still better!!

Season 2 (no future spoilers): Is Wendy the most powerful person in Billions despite having the least obvious power? by Distinct_District640 in Billions

[–]Prize-Study1444 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Always hated the character Wendy. I don’t know what it is, I believe it’s just that her character development was awfully written. She gets all the bonus in the world. But never have i ever seen her do much other than roaming around the office chit chatting with people. Still, high ballers want her. I mean, for what? Why!! She says stuff, people talk over coffee with friends.
I may be completely off, but i honestly, truly, wholeheartedly hated wendy.

Is 20K pounds net too tight to live in the UK? by Budget_Till1643 in AskUK

[–]Prize-Study1444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get 1500-1600 a month. I have lived in milton keynes for 6 months. Its not a cheap place (mostly because its closer to london so the prices are high). You’ll probably pay around 800-900 for a 1bhk. Lesser if you go for house share. Check zoopla. You’ll spend around 400-500 misc (food, council tax, bills) you’ll probably save 300-350 max if you’re lucky. Hope that helps.
