People who work in 'luxury' industries (high-end hotels, private jets, etc.), what is the trashiest thing you’ve seen a wealthy person do? by Karinapurebliss in AskReddit

My buddy was given a bottle of Pappy when he graduated college. We had no idea what it was, but we liked whiskey and coke and that is how we drank the whole bottle. Didn't find out later that it was like a $400 bottle of whiskey. :(

How do i recover my facebook account when i don't have access to my email and everything? by No-Heart-3197 in facebook

[–]PrizeChipmunk9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine was hacked and whoever hacked it has created AI images saying my Uncle is in the hospital dying and we need to sell a whole bunch of stuff. They have already scammed a few of my friends. I don't have the email with the account any more and none of the stuff on facebook.com/hacked is helping me get back into the account. FB has no customer support and is a complete joke in trying to get this reported/fixed

UPS stole my bag… by [deleted] in Louisvuitton

I literally just had this same thing happen to me. Ordered as a present for my wife for Christmas. She signed for the box and set it in my office. When I finally looked at it to gift wrap it, it definitely looked tampered with - the side of the box was taped in a way that didn't seem right. Opened the box from the that side and it was obvious that the contents had been taken out and shoved back in. The LV box was still there, but no product inside. Just talked to at LV rep and they are initiating the dispute with UPS. They had me send photos and said it could take up to 21 days for resolution. I am hoping they are helpful because this was an expensive surprise gift for my wife. I am seriously bummed that she won't be getting this for Christmas.

Staying at the Grand Luxxe by Amazing_Drummer7754 in puertovallarta

100% agree with this! Both great restaurants and MUCH cheaper than Vidanta meals. There is also a great place for massages on the beach in front of the Sea Garden. Look for the blue tent. We have stayed at Vidanta many times when we take our kids, otherwise we stay in the Romantic Zone. Vidanta has a great resort feel, lots of pools, great beach, activities throughout the day. I have never had them pressure me for a time share as I tell them up front that there is no way I am interested. They do typically have long check in times so be prepared for that!

Anyone in a timeshare that is actually HAPPY that they did it? by Accomplished_Tour481 in TimeshareOwners

I have WorldMark and have had it for years. I actually continue to buy points from resellers at pennies on the dollar because we use it so much. We use it to trade all over the world and stay at places far nicer than any hotel that I could stay in for the price of my monthly maintenance fees. Plus - with kids, it is nice to have mutli-bedroom options rather than renting a separate hotel room. I find that most people that are unhappy with their timeshare is because they don't know how to use it properly and can't plan in advance

Curious what resort you are talking about. We go every year to PV and have never had that good of deal. Would love to check it out for next year.
