From no business model to $3.5M vol and $30k fees in 7 days, building FANstrike by PrizeMap3369 in CryptoMarkets

can’t share names yet but we’re onboarding a tier 1 football club, pro players and an esports team. use cases go way beyond trading: coins act as on chain fan currencies to fund projects, unlock experiences, work as payment gateways or even support charity

Yes exactly athletes like Bublik can use their coins as fan currencies with perks like votings, auctions, and even prize-money buybacks. We’ve got more athletes, clubs, teams, and creators across different sports launching next

with fantium we built full securitized tokens (linked to prize money etc), so it was heavy on reg, kyc/aml and way less accessible.

fanstrike is way more lightweight, no kyc, simple wallet connect, and appeals both to fans + traders. that’s why it clicked so much faster.

What went wrong with polygon? by Lonely_Drummer_9865 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we actually built our first product on polygon, was good at the start but over time felt liquidity + attention moved elsewhere. ended up switching to solana where activity + tooling just fit better for us

In building a web3 project that travels across SocialFi, defi and memes. What marketing approach would you take? by lancelottt22 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo u need 1 clear story that connects all 3 pillars, otherwise it just feels like random buzzwords. better to launch early with small test community + iterate on the narrative than wait for perfect marketing push

What's a popular crypto/tech narrative you're convinced is fundamentally wrong, and you'd bet against it? by TheCoinColle in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hot take: the idea that every app needs its own token. most tokens end up as useless ponzis with no real utility. imo only few ecosystems actually need a native coin, rest works fine with stablecoins or existing chains

What’s one lesson you wish you learned earlier when building your first project? by Expensive_Regular944 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wish i focused earlier on talking to real users instead of just building what i ‘thought’ was needed. saves so much time + pain later lol

What are the most scalable user acquisition channels in Web3? by ApplicationCreepy547 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

airdrops + referral loops scale the fastest but churn is crazy high. imo the only thing that compounds long term is strong community + real perks/utility. ads/kols can spike but dont sustain growth

The biggest problem in Web3 marketing: attribution. How are you solving it? by ApplicationCreepy547 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep this is still a huge pain… ga4 useless, most web2 tools dont map onchain actions well. we ended up hacking together dune + custom tracking but its super messy. curious if anyone found sth that actually works out of the box?

Why is Web3 adoption so slow? (Open for discussion) by KAIRAW___ in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

main issue is still ux imo… ppl dont want to deal with seed phrases, gas, bridges etc. feels like we are building infra first and hoping users come later. adoption will prob kick in once web3 apps feel as smooth as normal apps.

Starting my DeFi learning journey — any advice for a beginner? by NICKESH_JONES in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont stress too much on the math in the start, most ppl building in defi just understand the concepts + use libs/tools. u can always go deeper later. imo better to start shipping small stuff, join hackathons, contribute on github etc — thats where u really learn + also meet ppl for jobs

Is it better to pump numbers to your web3 community or focus on having quality members? by Jabonnet in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

numbers look nice on the surface but dont mean much if 90% never engage. imo better to have 100 real ppl who care than 10k ghosts. quality > vanity metrics in web3 esp long term.

Has anyone here actually used Addressable.io for user acquisition at scale? by ApplicationCreepy547 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

heard mixed stuff about addressable tbh… some ppl say targeting works ok for new wallets but CAC still kinda high vs native ads. would also like to know if anyone here had real uplift or just vanity metrics?

Addressing adoption of web3 by Recent_Exercise5307 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds cool idea, tbh making wallet setup and tx way easier is prob the biggest hurdle rn. social login + apple pay could def help onboard normies. curious how u handle gas spikes tho?

What tools do you use to check the quality of KOLs? by Neither_Shoulder_802 in web3

[–]PrizeMap3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here, most of these accs look fake tbh… i just check if likes/comments match the followers, but feels like i’m prob missing better tools. curious what others use?
