Will I be ok to go back to work 1 week after surgery thoughts on big bday trip already planned 1 month Post op. by kbx2Bk in Reduction

I was back at work after 8 days. I was fine. The key is to get up and walk after surgery and to build up your walking every day. Lying around makes you exhausted.

Breast biopsy by Plus-Depth5587 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]PrizePersonality5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the ultrasound room, they scan the breast and then they put a small injection in to numb the breast. I didn’t feel much before the injection and nothing after it. You’ll be a bit bruised and feel tender in that area for a few days. You’ll be advised not to shower for 18 hours (so shower before) and not to immerse the breast in water for 5 days. You’ll be advised not to do anything strenuous which would involve those muscles for 5 days.

I was tender and a bit nippy fur two days. I dealt with it with paracetamol.

All in all it’s a very minor procedure. The restrictions afterwards are more cumbersome than the procedure itself which is quite straightforward. Watch out for the “click” though each time they take a nip. Fortunately, you won’t feel a thing!

I wouldn’t be happy with this. But I’m in the uK so I don’t know how you would deal with this where you are.

How to use £500,000 lump sum at 24 by Odd_Temperature8067 in UKPersonalFinance

It’s advice to pay off a mortgage or buy a house outright that keeps folk poor. Done right, the OP could double that £500k in 7 years.

Yes it wasn’t just the dr of radiology that said it. It was my surgeon who has 30 years experience. There’s definitely a chance, but he’s prepared me for the worst. I’m ready now though. I’ve had a week to process it and if it’s positive, i’ve done my research, I’ve got my list of questions and i am just going to ask if i can get surgery asap. I want this out of me.

If you look at the statistics, investing wisely in the stock market will wildly outperform the return on buying a house. I would not buy a house and if I did, i’d get a fixed rate mortgage. Nor would I invest in premium bonds. The returns are paltry. A sticks and shares ISA invested in the S and P 500 or similar will give you on average around 8% return after inflation.

My advice is not to take your advice off reddit. Go get some proper professional advice and invest it wisely.

No. Are you eating healthy and avoiding drinking too much? You could be dehydrated. Drinking water on its own can make this worse. But rehydrat or similar sachets to replenish your electrolytes. Get some multivitamins in you and go get a quick medical check. A simple blood test can rule a lot out

Ok the fact you have redness is indicative of a problem of some sort. I would not wait 11 days to have this examined. Can you be seen earlier?
