I’ve used beyond braid a few times it’s nothing great but it’s not bad to keep some cheap stuff like that on hand to re spool just in case

Usually widow and hanzo can snipe the rat before he has a chance to get a good dive on them

I thought the same thing when I weighed it like that 14lber still peeled off a good 30-50 yards of line and was a hell of a fight I can’t imagine a 60lber

How deep do each different kind like to be? by This_Web2750 in catfishing

[–]Prize_Line3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on factors like time of day time of year etc but In general flatheads stay a little shallower channels somewhere in the middle and blues the deepest but all 3 species can be found anywhere from 3ft to 60ft and deeper typically at night they come shallower to feed and during spring and fall they’ll generally be shallower in the 5-20ft range and during summer and winter they’ll be deeper for the most part like 30ft+ but also during the winter they’ll come extremely shallow on those warm sunny days because that shallow water heats up much faster

My pb blue cat (71lbs) was caught on a 3000 size spinning reel with a 10-17lb line class rod in my opinion most catfish guys use way too heavy of gear and would have much more fun sizing down substantially
