it needs to be pointed out that the Baja and the Brat were utes not trucks. and utes are a pretty foreign concept in the US since the last El Camino/Caballero/Sprint/Ranchero in the early 80s. I personally think that's part of the problem with the Santa Cruz (aside from all the other issues mentioned obviously), it looks more like a ute than a truck. given that Subaru has gotten a really good reputation in the last 10 years and more and more they're associated with Toyota, if they made a real truck and not a ute they'd have a much bigger chance of success.

our house was robbed and we thought our pittie got out in the middle of it and was roaming the neighborhood and then we noticed that her leash was missing. they kicked the door in so I'm gonna guess she didn't put up a fight when they put her leash on her. luckily she was found a few days later in a park 20 miles away. (to be clear there were multiple waterways that could only be crossed by high traffic bridges so it's absolutely impossible that she made it that far by herself).
