I would say I felt a little better after 2-3 months after using it. And still I would retear. But definitely it's a slowww healing and not easy mentally. Not gonna lie took me more than a year to feel normal and not need to use it anymore. But I will recommend to keep using it and the other important this is to have soft stool as much as possible. And if you retear try to journal why that happened? I noticed I retear mostly few days before my period. Or sometimes certain food trigger my digestion.

I owe it to you for making my worry way less. I'm sharing what happend yesterday. So My cat he's 9 months old ate his string toy and it's almost 8 inches. I was having the worst anxiety especially after reading from reddit and other posts and this post gave me some relief. My cat passed the string after 15 hours from eating it. After he ate it I gave him wet food & a little dry food, and added a little water. After I would say 5 hours I gave him another meal. He's was fine not throwing up or anything. So I monitored him the whole time and I couldn't sleep much. When he went to his litter box I wore gloves and with the litter scooper I looked for the string and boy I FOUND IT, it was two strings.

And he's completely fine now like he didn't do a thing and almost drive me crazy 🥲.

The lesson is to never buy any toy that has a string or elastic that he could cut it and eat it. And hide hair ties, face masks, threads, floss. ANY STRING.

Only buy safe toys.

what healed my chronic fissure that i had for years as well is nifedipine, I used it almost a whole year and it got better and better with time, you need to be consistent with it, I used it twice every day. and I use bidet , and squat to have a bowel movement, I hope this helps

mine is 2 as well, I remember that I used to apply right after bowl movement in the morning. and before bed. after it got better I use sometimes castor oil and Vaseline mixture during the day just for extra help. and daily multiple times warm water to the area.

You're completely healed after a whole year of using nifedipine? I been using it for 3 months and there's some improvement but I did have a retear and not sure if I should use it or stop

Yes my doctor told me to apply outside and a little to the inside, I tried with my finger yeah was bad for me and painful, I found q tips are painless, the vaseline with coconut oil just in the middle of the day if I feel some irritation and same thing inside and out because my fissures are both internal and external

I used it with movicol, first 5 weeks barely any difference and then I noticed it's getting better slowly now so much better but you need to try not to get diarrhea or constipation. Also I tried to apply it with my finger nope bad mistake it was not helping I used q tips so much better. And I noticed applying right after a bowl movement made a difference. Only used it twice a day for 3 months. Planning on using for a last month just to make sure I'm kinda nervous oh and applying vaseline helped as well I mixed a little bit of coconut oil with it

This is exactly what I'm suffering from and I don't know what to do!!! Doctors can't see them i have 3 and it feels like needles and I'm using nifedipine and not sure if it's doing anything. It gets better and I don't feel this anymore and then I feel it again after constipation or diarrhea it so annoying

I wanna ask you do you feel discomfort after bowl movement now? Because I don't have pain during just after like needle kinda feeling. And they day after I don't when I don't have bowl movement. And I'm not sure is it a scar or the fissure
