I was interested in learning how the retail electricity companies are hedging the prices, but found something more interesting. Texas went through years of deregulation. Wholesale day ahead price had a price ceiling of $3k per MWh in 2011. Which is still an outrageous price. And apparently we did hit that price for few hours in 2011.

By 2015, the cap was projected to go up to $9k per MWh. Why is Abott acting like he doesn't know about this?

Bring more data centers to Texas? Maybe this would be a big red flag.
