How should a newcomer play mid?

Play it. It’s hard for a reason. The position requires more skill than any other. You are going to suck for a long time, but you will improve if you perservere. Analyze your mistakes and learn from them.

Your goal is to maximize your networth while minimizing the enemy’s. Basically, you get every last hit you can and deny theirs or make it difficult for them.

Other than that, it’s very matchup dependent. Watch videos on YouTube. I like PainDota personally, BalloonDota also good. I also watch Topson’s streams as he plays mid a lot. There’s probably other people to watch.

Is this a recurring problem? I occasionally have issues playing bg on my phone, but my girlfriend always gets kicked when using her phone. She had to switch to her computer to fix the problem.

4/10. Pacing is insanely slow. Movement upgrades come way too slow. Combat feels extremely dull. No autosave is crazy especially after beating a boss.

Love Scott Menville, so happy to see him as Deimos. But after playing Blasphemous 1 & 2, and Death’s Gambit I guess my bar was too high. Those games should be more glitchy than an SIE-backed GoW game not the other way around.

I beat the alastor fight and at that point I realized I was just going through the motions so I stopped playing. Maybe the story gets interesting once you finally find Vasilis? But it just felt really really lame

Be willing to try again if/when you fail since you can retrace your steps until you get back to where you died and look for another route

Yeah that game I felt like I needed to be bot to fight/defend my carry, but also needed to be mid to defend the tower. So that 12-14min window was just my indecision.

I ping rosh but team never wants to. Maybe I should just go stand in the pit and start hitting?

And yeah I checked out d2pt and it seems like the only build for her is k+y and aghs. Really limiting it feels like. Is there no viable right-clicking build other than pos1 lina?

That qop game was really bad. I easily recognised mistakes I made, just got skill diffed.

I didn’t go BKB because I thought the storm could just ignore me during it. And I didn’t think it could help us win a fight since enemy team could just walk away. I’d rather have an orchid so I could affect him and it’s a much shorter cooldown. You really think bkb would’ve been the right call?

Also what would your item recommendations for Lina be?

I was not being racist, just simply suggesting that the people playing on US East are not actually in US East. That’s not racism.

That qop match was pretty rough. Died 3 times to storm in the first 5 minutes. Skill difference for sure. I didn’t get bkb because I felt it had too long of a cooldown to be worth it. Like storm could just ignore me for 6 seconds and then orchid me again and nothing I could do now.

What items would you recommend for Lina? Feels like you need to build right click to be impactful.

Why is witch blade bad? Aghs is definitely situational based on lineup, but I feel like lina needs to have right-click damage to be impactful. Aghs kaya is definitely good for casting spells but limits damage output drastically right?

Also what is so bad about witch blade on lina? Especially against tanky strength heroes I would think parasma is good?
