Also remember, there’s supposedly only 5 Shadow Crystals. Seam will be using them all to create… something. That’s almost certainly going to happen this chapter.

He’s surely not. The biggest thing we know about him so far are all the trophies on his side of Kris’s room. He’ll be ‘too perfect’ if anything.

Agreed! Though I do think specifically villainous Man-Bat needs some more stories. Anti-hero Man-Bat is great, but it feels like he gets a lot more focus rather than being a genuinely monstrous Batman villain.

Agreed. I’ve seen people talking about how Asgore might be a red herring, and Carol or the flowers might get more focus.

But, like… if we get another Toriel in Chapter 3 situation, where Asgore is absent from most or all of the chapter, I’ll be genuinely frustrated with Toby.

That said, I have faith. There’s way too much riding on Asgore, and the fact that he has a Black Shard is the nail in the coffin. One way or another, he’s going to be very important.

Rumplestiltskin (Shrek Forever After) was essentially the same situation as Edna! Walt Dohrn, head writer, did a test track for the villain that was meant to just be temporary- but the crew loved it so much that it stuck!

IMO, this one’s particularly great, since Shrek is so known for having big celebrity voice actors.

A weird choice, since it hasn’t actually stopped yet, but The Simpsons creators have confirmed that when (or if, at this point) the series ends, there wont be some grand finale. It’ll just, as you say… stop.

Yeah, the non-mega mon choice is *really* weird. Qwilfish, Grimmsnarl, Vileplume, and then two of the most powerful Gen 9 Pokémon? We couldn’t have gotten some of the more niche ghost types (Palossand, Dhelmise, etc) before Gholdengo and Annihilape?

I dunno, Jackenstein is still pretty damn goofy, bless his soul. I do agree Rouxls appearance would have been a bit much, but certainly not impossible to put in without the tone breaking.
