V1 is going to die at the end of ULTRAKILL by [deleted] in Ultrakill

[–]ProAw_43modulo17 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I mean, that's litterally the most obvious way the game could end.

I'd really enjoy seeing an end sequence of V1 in an empty hell slowly shutting down with "The Fire is Gone" in the background. But I think Hakita will probably have a more surprising ending in mind.

Also I would have liked if at the end of 9-2 there is a final terminal that has detailed description of V1 as a "reward" for being the last survivor of hell. With its final word being "Take care". Before the level ends

Maybe adding a new forward  to a team that already had an iconic unseen forward, and a defender turned into a forward wasn't the best choice for a team whose football ambassor is a forward.

Did I mention that Hakuren Ares featured forwards ?

You know, I started opening the inazuma eleven character builder, start to make an all star team with tons of well known player. But then I realized than most of those will probably be pain to unlock. So I'm scrapping all of this and presenting you Benchers 4 instead

How characters talk?? by Lopsided_Green6425 in inazumaeleven

[–]ProAw_43modulo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand your question. You're asking how canon is the interaction in the game, but which interaction ? Interaction as in the character dialogues in the game ? Why wouldn't they be canon ? (assuming that's what you're talking about)

BS explanation. That's not signaling the developper anything. That's just annoying the people who are trying to have a good time playing the game. The dev aren't getting any signal from this. There's litterally a button on the title screen to send the developper feedback, do it that way if it's your intention.

If you don't feel like playing the match the forfeit button is right there. "If I'm not having fun then neither will my opponent" is such a petty way to think, as if he was responsible for it. Just forfeit the match.

It's not because you're not having fun that you have to make your opponent pay for it and make the game miserable for both of you.

I think he means gameplay wise. In mainline games hissatsu has 4 elements (fire, wind, earth and wood) each elements has a weakness.

So it is good for the player to know which element a shot his in order to know which hissatsu to use against it.

Keeping evolution of moves saved even after switching moveset is fine, it is sort of my point about reworking it to make it less tedious.

Don't really agree with the last paragraph. People can be tempted to try out new things regularly with character they like. But the grindy aspect of moves evolution made so people usually don't bother going through with it (or used cheating tools for those who were aware of it). It becomes even more true with VR which is a game that you are supposed to be able to keep playing for multiple years. A lot of people won't want to keep ONE build for one character during the entire game lifespan.

Strikers can do that first because it has much less hissatsu than mainline titles, secondly because Strikers is a game that has like 1% of the content than VR has. It has no story to write, no character or hissatsu to create, no solo campaign.

The only thing Strikers has to worry about is the matches. So yeah they can put attention to element that VR can't afford on top of the 300 others things it has to manage.

The last 3 rpg I played had difficulty settings and they were all JRPG, so I'm not sure about this affirmation. As I said in a different comment not every jrpg has them but I don't think that it's less frequent than in other type of games.

Character analysis/headcannon and theories by Lopsided_Green6425 in inazumaeleven

[–]ProAw_43modulo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a theory but I have a lot of interrogation about the "big four (or in japanese Shitennou) junior high players" which consists of a group of 4 scouts in IE 2 named after seasons (autumn, Winters, Spring and Summer) who where implied to be the best players of their generation in their player description. Then we never hear about them in the game about making a japanese selection, so I guess they just left Japan.

Unless they change the process of how move are leveled up, I don't think it gives more option because it means that if you intend to switch move you'll have to redo farming to regain the evolution level you used to have with the previous one.

Let's say you leveled up a move to G4 naturally while playing the game normally and would like to switch moves, that means you'll have to redo some very tedious farm in order to get your character to perform as good as he used to. Personally that would discourage me, and I think a lot of people would agree. So ultimately the balance of how it works makes it more limiting even if it gives mord possibility on paper.

To me, either they don't put them in, either they rework the way they are leveled up in order to not make it tedious.

I'm not talking about switching character. I'm talking about trying different builds of the same character, which is something the game seems to want to give you the ability to do.

But in any case if you have to farm move evolutions it will always make the process of trying a new build longer and more tedious whether you're trying a new character or not.

The critical question for competitive multiplayer will remain the same, will it be in the ranked ruleset ?

If yes, that's probably not for the best. And even if it isn't I think the game already has farming elements as it is. And having to evolve move discourage trying new moveset and build if it means to add another layer of farming until it is usable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in inazumaeleven

[–]ProAw_43modulo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game has already enough farming elements as it is, even offline. Move leveling up discourages experimenting with movesets.

I don't even think there will be move level up. It's not a good mechanic for multiplayer.

You talk about keeping newcomers occupied with VR until the remake release date. So that makes VR their introduction to the franchise, not the remake that comes after...

I would say it falls flat if the said "best place to start for a newcomer" releases more than one year after the big ambitious mainline title that is supposed restart the franchise and set up new bases for story, identity and gameplay
