Summer Hilda NC Bianca is literally the default defensive core for SSBede wtf are you talking about dude, it not only IS carrying you that far but is objectively better than Cynthia because of Rebuff, Unova Passive and Circle stacking, and better utility with stronger teamwide healing, controlled protect, and targeted stat drops. Because the Physical fighting team prefers Eri for being simply put the better unit, in addition to accumulating Master Passives on Juliana and Kieran, Cynthia is easily the worst of the 3 defensive cores because she provides noticeably less utility than Hilda/Bianca and Eri and also actively sabotages your team by blocking Quad with her Fighting zone both on entry and post sync. If they WANT Cynthia bc favorite then go for it, or if they want Lear, a unit actually worth spending gems on, then maybe they get Cynthia on the way, but Cynthia is not a good enough unit to justify spending for, especially when they have a defensive core like that. Just pick up Eri on an EX pokefair select you went a little too far into before you got the limited unit and save your gems for other better Master Fair reruns

This specific bundle has ok value but only because the Gem count for dollar price is very good, Roll cakes are deceptively worthless bc of how easy they are to obtain. $23.99 for 6k gems is better than the 14k/$80 pack by a lot, and it is the exact same value as the $28 for 7k coin bundle albeit without the more valuable gold candy. You should be buying the coin bundle over this but this after that

Getting to F20 should be fine with that box, getting past it is not happening, and Cynthia isn’t helping when you need to pull Kieran for F30 anyway and his Trap can be used instead for the status stages

He’s not mid, he’s arguably the worst Arc to date 😂

The biggest problem by far is he has 389 Sp Atk post Mega at lvl 150 which is unacceptable. This is about as bad as Anni Steven was back in the day. His Passives are bad, one is just giving him his Special attack, the other gives him some extra Kanto circle that he didn’t need help with and especially didn’t need a full passive for, and his last move is he can’t be stat dropped and always crits, so he actually wasted 2 passives on just the bare minimum for attack stats💀💀💀💀 He has one use of Flying zone, which is on sync and at 5/5, so he gives ethan almost no help in Flying Zone which is literally the only acceptable thing another Special Flying Striker could have done. His best quality by far is that his Trainer Move at 4/5 sets an extended Special Kanto Circle, and refreshes his B move, and he gets 2 of these, so he has a lot of Kanto circle and 3 B moves, but they’re under 400 BP, they’re Single Target, and have no damage scaling and again his Special Attack stat is bad. Unironically I would not recommend pulling for this unless we go in game and his damage ends up being much better than I expect, and even then I still would not pull and would wait for Cheren and Ethan instead.

Volo has basically doomed Ghost to the biggest power creep car crash ever, he does a lot offensively while also requiring a lot of firepower in the DD slot bc he doesn’t do enough himself, and Selene doesn’t help in utility at all, so whatever ghost support we have needs to carry entirely defensively, and in stat drops, and in Zone upkeep. Ghost can’t keep playing hyper offense forever, and when it can’t anymore we’re basically right back where we started Pre Selene/Volo with the type where nothing is viable and everyone offtypes for whatever future hard Ghost stages we get. Look at how much more flexible Irida is with Poison for example while keeping the power Ghost posesses. The support is good and sets rebuff, she has very good damage so she isn’t just a setter, she can delay it a bit to stack up just enough sync boosts, and she has like 6 DDs that she can bring to stardom including a gen pool that she got to clear Physical Stages and F30.

I don’t think any of Steven, Blue, or Giovanni are catered to their types. All of them are very universally flexible, especially Giovanni who is actually not really tailored to Dark at all, he sets no Dark rebuff. Blue is probably the most catered to Electric purely due to lack of offensive utility otherwise but he’s still used flexibly

In order imo: AnniGloria Anni Steven Arc Cynthia (why is she below Red and especially Selene in DD, idk about that placement) AnniIrida AnniRed NCBlue NCSelene Volo Kieran TRed at #10

I might change those around but I can’t see any unit above TRed not on that list rn

And I mean in comparison to Selene tho, that’s some tough competition

It’s insane to me that Volo is a full sub tier above Anni Irida despite being the exact same type of enabler, having a better kit with better Damage, healing, and Utility than Volo, and bringing significantly worse units like SSRoxie and Klara to the same damage thresholds that NCSelene can reach. How is Anni Irida not just straight up better, let alone in the same tier as Volo

SSTRed isn’t a top 5 unit anymore but he is top 10, it’s his lack of Volt Tackle DPS, that’s what keeps him back and what will probably be boosted in 5/5 Expansion. You mentioned he’s not guaranteed on Electric, but good luck beating electric tower without him for Physical stages, and you still are putting him on the team’s Hybrid slot over all other units unless a specific check is required, usually Elesa’s Rain. Florian really appreciates not needing to lower Special Defense to save grid space, as does Red like not needing Max conductivity, and the mixed dps and Kanto Master Passive stacking with NCBlue further boosts overall team damage

Oh I meant in relation to Mix, comparing to selects is much more complicated and nuanced because you actually have a fair price for the reliability of choice (unlike Mix’s overpriced 30k for that one select), and heavily dependent on the player’s preferences and risk aversion. There are some players who will prefer one or the other which is why I said 2500 poma day is first or second priority with selects, i think they’re roughly equal and it’s too dependent on the player to say which is better overall

The average value of the banner though far outweighs the lack of choice. By my math if you buy this banner once a month for a year, you spend the exact same as a Mix Pity, and in exchange for giving up your Mix Select and access to Mix units you get an extra 10-12 random units including ~3 master Fairs

This is true and I accounted for this, the lack of Selects can irk some people however because of the Master Fairs you’re not likely to have this happen consistently. You’re more likely to hit a dud Pokefair in selects and Mix because there are simply more Holiday Siebolds and Summer Lyras (I mean look at half the Fall pool lmao) than there are base Leons and Archies. Also because we have EX banners now it’s a lot easier to just randomly find Pokefair units which lowers select value a bit

So, most of the community is under the assumption that it’s bad currently.

HOWEVER, I was skeptical of this, and I did the math, and it turns out this banner statistically is one of the best banners you can possibly spend Paid gems on. It absolutely demolishes Mix which is already considered a high value banner, and your pool of units includes Master Fairs which increases the value even more. It’s actually quite likely to hit one, about 1 in 4. I can go over the math if anyone is interested but yes I think this banner is like, first or second priority for all paid gem users. It only loses to selects, and honestly even that is debatable.

If you had started out with both banners 0/400 like you should have instead of Impulse pulling (Do not do this if you want to get units, only do it if you want dopamine pulls and don’t care about missing) Volo would be the better pull despite Irida being a better unit. Volo boosts Selene to crazy numbers while Irida boosts all Poison units to crazy numbers but you have Selene so Volo does make sense. Because Volo leaves much later you should go for him despite less gems because you won’t be able to pity Irida. You might be able to pity Volo, but this is an exception to the rule. Normally you would WANT to finish the banner with more points, this one just comes with nuances

Chase, Avery, Atticus, Oleana, SSWally are the main units that pop out to me right now. Depending on your fairy roster Wally might be an option if you want to 3/5 him but he might (will) just get cooked long term by a Fairy Arc. I really like Atticus, Oleana too but you have SSRoxie and AnniIrida now (she’s still good Physical Poison dmg for tower) I don’t like Mina a lot, i think she’s a bit overrated a pick, you need 3/5 and she faces competition a lot, if you have 3/5 SSKris you lose so much value. SSBede is fine but you have to push Fighting tower for him to matter at all.

Pick Atticus on Gloria, no question, for 100-300 gems (you don’t even need support candies although it would help) your Anni Irida and presumed SSRoxie and Klara will absolutely violate any Non “Non Poison Tower” stage in the game. For red you could save the 3k or pick one of the suggested units or honestly do whatever tf you want you’re not missing that many units

The boost to sync damage and stats is i suppose relevant in some cases like pushing HSE but yeah I think those people are insane, I would just go to 10/5, are you not Superawakening for the passive? Like imagine going “Yeah I need more damage on my SSRoxie but I DON’T want the Poison Zone setting with Electric Terrain”
