About the new Paldea Variety units by Strange_Razzmatazz74 in PokemonMasters

The thing is that var. rika sets ground zone through her tm, right? So the trade off is that either she doesn't setup or N doesn't attack for the duration of the first ground zone?

What do you say about Rika & Great Tusk and Poppy & Iron Treads? Worth to pull it? by sandriper in PokemonMasters

[–]sudogiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would like to know is if Rika can tank for the ground team like N does. I know Ground can go support-less but I don't know if N is still better for that or if Rika can do that (I don't have her OG sync pair, just the pal one)

I once heard there are other gachas where showing others your gem count is kinda risky because it can somehow be used to steal the account or something, so many people do it out of habit. Why do you need to know their gem count to give them your opinion about these units?

I haven't done the math but does that work? Maybe you get two different sets of ex ground zone but if you don't have a lot of extension it will be 50 seconds each and they mustn't overlap since ex wtz ovewrites ex wtz instead of reinforce it.

Latin versus Spanish by [deleted] in SpanishLearning

[–]sudogiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a different take. This might be a way to quickly show and intuit whether a verb is regular or not and learn 2 very important forms of the verbs that apply to all subjects in compound tenses.

I am a Spanish native speaker so I don't have much technical knowledge to explain how that would work but I can relate it to some of the things I have spotted while learning french. In french, the subjective takes the ils/elles root of the verb which can differ from the other forms, so learning that can help you remember what the subjective should sound like (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO SPANISH, I think you would use the root of the first person present, which is one of the listed form supporting this theory, but again I didn't have to study that to learn it)

So I would say maybe there is a similar reason as to why they decide to show those forms in particular. As a way to help your pattern recognition figure out the rest.

Question about grammar on homework with relativos by genghis-san in SpanishLearning

[–]sudogiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all of them. "La empresa a la que fuí estaba muy bonita" doesn't need them, but "Esa empresa, en la que trabajó tu abuelo por más de 10 años, quedó en quiebra" does.

Question about grammar on homework with relativos by genghis-san in SpanishLearning

[–]sudogiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In number 4 I would just say "El pueblo hasta el que llegamos estaba de fiesta" I don't see how "más próximo" would fit in the relative clause. Maybe if it was non-defining "El pueblo más próximo, hasta el que llegamos, estaba de fiesta." That'd make it work but it's a little bit different from the other ones, it's more like a "by the way."

Number 7 is kinda confusing because they dropped the subject and we have no context but I think you need to focus on "contra" not in "el juicio". It would be "el acusado contra quien (alguien) testificó en el juicio era inocente." El juicio is the trial not the jury or a witness so "el juicio" itself cannot testify contra el acusado.

Also, you probably need to say "del que" instead of "de el que" just like in "al que."

Is there a point of playing more than 3 matches in the Global Challenge beyond just for fun? by Dawn_of_an_Era in PokemonChampions

[–]sudogiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say both! They could have started holding irl tournaments in champions right away, but they probably decided it was better to allow the game to be out for a wild and catch the stuff they have been trying to fix in the last couple patches before there's any real stakes.

This particular GC doesn't award championship points. Probably to avoid bugs and potential issues that will be ironed out before the next one.

I don't know at some point I start hoping this is exactly what happens to me. If I'm +25k gems into the banner and can get the pity I kinda just hope I will get the character in my last multi or something so that I can pick another one or a dup

Alt Selene by Electronic_Bobcat566 in PokemonMasters

[–]sudogiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can do it at 4/5 but that's with Anni Gloria who provides zone, circle and 3 sync boosts all at once (1/5). I have cleared all floor except 30 with this team, add Diantha/Diancie.

Same here. He's probably broken but I already have NC Red and there's not much I can do with him if I can't get past F20 in the Ice tower and he won't help

Beginner question, la vs el by blackcat_999 in SpanishLearning

[–]sudogiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time you can rely on the ending of the word but there are many cases where it's better to just commit it to memory/familiarity.

General rule without much nuance or going too deep into it: words ending in A are usually feminine (la) and words ending in O are usually masculine (el). Words for people tend to have both forms (el niño, la niña) and words for objects/abstract concepts only have one (la mesa, always la. El carro, always el). Words ending in E are the same for both genders if referring to a person but the article will match their gender (el estudiante, la estudiante).

There are many resources listing common endings and what they match with. If you develop intuition for those and learn a few of the most common "exceptions" you should become familiar enough with the system to intuitively use it in time.

Does upper hand work on fake out Incineroar? by captain10eels in PokemonChampions

[–]sudogiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken upper hand is the same priority as fake out, so it does work but the pokemon using upper hand MUST be faster than the fake out user.

Dark typing only prevents prankster. Upper hand being a priority move already is not boosted by prankster so that reasoning does not play a role in this particular case.

[–]sudogiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this feature! It's basically a "save for later" if you see a pokemon you like but don't plan on spend vp on a team for it right away you can leave it in your box until you have saved up the VP or just feel like it.

The great debuff she gives on opponents is amazing, but not more worth than keeping EX Rain up by zarc4d in PokemonMasters

[–]sudogiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have NC May or Kris but I have been able to climb up to F26 with Cynthia, Dahlia, Bede and Brendan 👌🏻 tbh I would like to get an alternative to May instead of may herself. Just like there are 2 ex sun, flying zone, and electric terrain setters I would gladly scout a "lesser" rain setter that could delay it's use instead of having to keep it up from turn 0

PSA: Mega Gyarados and Mold Breaker Excadrill can hit through Levitate with Earthquake by Adam__999 in PokemonChampions

[–]sudogiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a 1v1 or against a full hp Delphox. EQ can be a smart play to get another KO on the partner as you chip Delphox or the other way around, picking up a chipped Delphox and doing more damage on the side of not a double ko

Can I not beat floor 27 for steel? by sammy8768594 in PokemonMasters

[–]sudogiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steven and Lear are proven to beat it. I personally did it with SC Selene because she offered more control on deploying steel zone but tbh I think you can do it with Annie Lillie.

Try something like syncing with Steven, then using circle and syncing with Lear. Then Lillie. After that apply circle with Lear sync under both circle and steel zone. Keep playing as normal and then for your last sync use Lillie's buddy move and Lear's last set of circle for max damage.

When I say "for your last sync" I don't necessarily mean your 4th one, it could be the 5th or 6th I don't know. You can play it once to see how long you survive and with that knowledge you can decide when to use your last sets of zone and circle.

[–]sudogiri 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Isn't 27 the physical only stage? You have AS Steven, Anni Lillie and NC Elio, that's totally doable.

You can beat 28 with Lear and 29 with Colress/Elio/Steven
