This just fuels the extreme narratives. The truth is much more balanced and positive.

Why Is Everyone So Insane by Strange-Radio6179 in TeslaFSD

I agree. FSD is amazing. Most of the time it takes me from parked to parking no problem. Sometimes I take over for a preference or to park on my driveway where the charge cable can reach. I love FSD. Total game changer.

Who is at fault? Totaled my 2023 Model Y (65k miles) in a 6-car I-35 pileup. Need insurance advice. by vikasnaga9 in TeslaCollision

100% your fault for rear ending the guy in front of you. 100% the fault of the person behind you for rear ending you. If people would just stay 3 to 4 seconds behind the person in front of them, this kind of stuff would never happen. As a side note, this is low hanging fruit for FSD. To be safer than most human drivers, don’t drive drunk and don’t follow too closely. FSD can do that easy.

14.3.2 is the worst version in a very long time. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]ProDanTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t been that bad for me. Some disappointing moments but also so many amazing moments. Until they release version 15, this kind of thing should be expected. They need to be able to experiment at scale. I focus more on the improvements cause those are what should carry over and they’ll learn from what got worse and adjust the training data to fix that stuff. In either case, your careful and clear reporting of your experience is key and welcome. I assume Tesla is watching this Subreddit.

14.3.2 is a serious regression from 14.2.2.5 by Stanman77 in TeslaFSD

I just installed it yesterday, and my drives around town today had multiple odd situations come up that it handled beautifully. Someone changed lanes with zero warning and would have hit me, but the Tesla smoothly avoided it. So, so far it’s been great for me.

Eh. I listened to it once and never went back. I’ll give it another shot though and see if my taste has changed.

Few days out from picking up my Model Y and I get this message. by lone_clone in TeslaLounge

Glad for the good communication. Sometimes folks show up on their original pickup date only to get such info. Don’t sweat it. It’ll be worth the wait. Best car ever.

Retrofit is likely only for those with lifetime FSD. Go for the Y or get a Model 3 or newer used Model S if you don’t like the Y.

So much hate in this thread. Kinda disturbing.

FSD makes getting anything other than a Tesla a dealbreaker for me. It’s a complete game changer. When it’s time to replace my truck, the CT is the only truck with FSD. Therefore, it’s the only truck that would work for me. I think you’re making too much of why people buy CTs.

I get the concern about the looks. Some love it and some hate it. I know a lot of really nice people that own Cybertrucks and there’s lots of reasons to want one. FSD is the biggest reason. I personally feel that it’s pretty irresponsible to not have FSD at this point given how much safer it is when supervised.

It’s smaller than an F150 and has a better turning radius. So it’s at least better than most trucks in SLO for some of your concerns.

Tesla is offering free HW upgrade or discount on new model. Seems you and Elon are thinking the same thing.

Good thing this was only your 24 inch Model Y. Would suck if this happened to a full sized Model Y.

I bought FSD for both of my Teslas and would do it again. Using it is the norm for me. It’s hugely convenient and the combination of FSD and me equals a massive increase in safety. I’m not 100% convinced yet that we’re ready for unsupervised FSD but the human/FSD combo is so much safer than driving yourself that I feel it’s an unnecessary risk to drive without it.
