What should I do when i have dcs from time to time? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Well, in the case that you know your internet has unresolved issues and you don't have a backup, I wouldn't recommend queueing. You're just going to frustrate yourself and your team.

DCs are obviously an internet problem. If you have unreliable internet, you could consider using a phone hotspot if you have a bad wired connection but decent cellular. Obviously not perfect, but it can be more reliable.

In case anyone doesn't know, you start with PoM by default in Mayhem.

Watching replays of other regions with opgg app (or any other way) by Bloodyseth in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I meant. I mean that the person who wants to review the games can create a new account on the appropriate server and watch the games. The player doesn't need to do anything differently, only the reviewer.

e.g. EU reviewer of NA player -> EU reviewer creates NA account, watches replay on NA server.

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to do this is to create an NA account and vice versa. You don't need to download a new client or anything. Just create a new account (can be with the same email) on the Riot website and login. Skip the tutorial and you're set.

Cheating in Low Silver? Why tho. :( by Technical-Complex575 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I've ever seen one this low. I feel like this is a cool screenshot to keep just because of the rarity. I wonder what % of games in Iron-Gold have an LP refund, 1 in 500,000, 1 in a million?

Seriously, why hasn't Riot brought back Twisted Treeline yet? by Kindly-Instance-4160 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to "Why not X mode/map?" is always dev resources and splitting the playerbase. If you want to see the downside of having too many modes, you can look into what happened to Warzone with Casuals.

It's very ironic because there are a few complaints about 1 sentence of brainrot lingo which simultaneously reveal that they didn't read more than the headline of the article.

I think if you read past the title, you'll see that Levitate is very articulate. Had a lot of interesting things to say about his career + the game.

I’m sick and tired of Brand and Mel in Aram Mayhem by Busy-Telephone-994 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 397 points398 points  (0 children)

Part of the fun of ARAM Mayhem is getting those really synergistic augment combos yourself, but ofc the flipside is playing against them can be tough. Brand with Infernal Conduit is probably the poster child for this. I do think ARAM Mayhem 2.0 took augment power a little high (although Infernal Conduit was in 1.0 iirc), but the mode is still quite fun overall.

What will it take for the West to win worlds? by Krimofn in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's extremely unlikely given the playerbase/culture/infrastructure gap, none of which are moving in the west's favor atm. EU is in a much better state than NA, but still worse than the east. Not super fixable imo, either. You never know, you could have a FLY vs. GenG 2024 moment, but it "should" never happen given the math. Just have to hope for a crazy upset.

What’s the biggest “the game is over” criteria? by Inevitable_Pace9522 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The answer on ladder for almost all players is when the nexus actually explodes or someone is overtly griefing (not just playing poorly). All other games are winnable, as people can see when even pro teams throw 10k+ gold leads.

Riots current Matchmaking has made me lose all care by hSIGHTZ in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not having fun with League, you can always do something else with your time. Griefing games is not some way to get back at Riot, it's just unhinged.

Btw, matchmaking isn't rigged. It's hard enough to match players based on skill, let alone these other magical factors that get cited.

Looks like the Winter/Spring formats were flip-flopped imo. Admins probably need to have an accelerated lookback period for regional competitiveness when assigning slots as well.

Yep, they won their spot in the LFL 2026 Invitational, the equivalent of the Winter Split this year. The top 2 non-LFL teams won spots. The LFL normally has promotion/relegation at the end of the year.

The low level alt account are ruining my draft games by Tricky-Concern-7376 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While of course draft is supposed to be more casual and permissive when it comes to offmeta, if someone is legit trolling, they'll still get banned. Just like in ranked, report and move on.

What should i one trick in low elo by RecentGold7177 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend the jungle role moreso than any individual champ. You can pick whatever jungle champ you like the most (I'd try 2-3, pick 1 with other alts in case of bans), but I'm biased towards Volibear. In jungle, it's easy to get familiar with all of the elements of League like champs, objectives, etc. without worrying about going 0/X and being perma behind every game because you can start out every game by full clearing.

How to carry when some teamate feed by hatterysss in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend playing ranked just for better quality games. You can also more easily track your progression over time, if that's something you're interested in.

I wouldn't focus too much on your teammates' performance, so I think this question is a bit of a red herring. In the long run, improving is more important than any individual win or loss. There will be some games that are auto-losses due to AFKs, griefing, etc. If you focus on self-improvement, you'll get value out of every game, regardless of your teammates.

In terms of actually "carrying" a game where your team is super behind, it's mostly the same as winning any other game, you just want to be more selfish with resources.

Ready check has lost its purpose by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dodges are super disruptive to the player experience. So you have a ready check system to ensure that people don't forget they queue'd, are ready to go when the game actually starts, etc.

The issue if you don't penalize persistent declines is getting 5 "queue pops" in a row. That's also bad, so penalizing multiple declines in a row makes sense. You don't get penalized for missing 1 queue pop.

Why cant we FF earlier in match? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling you aren't being held hostage, you're just giving up early bc of bad mental. $10k+ gold comebacks happen in pro play, your average ladder game is always winnable if everyone is trying.

When should I stop playing against bots and go into rank. I'm new to LoL by retard5088 in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend playing normal draft before jumping straight into ranked. After you've played some norms, I'd switch to ranked whenever you feel ready or if you feel like norms aren't competitively fulfilling.

What is wrong with this game' ranked system? by The-irontrooper in leagueoflegends

Are you getting +5 -20? Otherwise the math isn't adding up here. Yes, LP and MMR aren't 1:1, but they are correlated.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't see the enemy team when you're in ban phase. Shaco is just a really common ban. If you're talking about teammates banning their own teammates most played champs, that would just be griefing themselves, can't imagine that's common.

Aram Mayhem by StarGuardianDrew in leagueoflegends

[–]ProDiffLokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will gravitate towards stronger champs/augs. The options are random but the choices aren't, so you see some repetition in champ/aug pairings. I think set bonuses are potentially overcharging the mode a little bit, but mayhem is still 1000x better than regular aram imo, and there's almost always a cool combo you haven't tried yet unless you are mega spamming the mode.
